On view through April 10, thisexhibit features 63 2-D and 3-D pieces of work that are represented from our local city, county and privatemiddle and high school students.“At Booth Western Art Museum, we take pride in providing a venue for emerging and talented youngartists,” says Lisa Wheeler, former art educator and current Director of Curatorial Services at BoothMuseum. “The artwork in this exhibition has been hand selected by the school’s art teacher as one of thebest pieces produced so far during the school year.”Throughout the year, art teachers in each middle and high school expose their students to a wide varietyof art mediums and challenging lessons. Each of the displayed artwork pieces have been created bystudents, grades six through twelve, throughout the 2015-2016 school year. Visitors to Booth Museumduring this show will see pieces of original art from paintings, collages, clay pieces, and more fromstudent-artists representing Adairsville Middle and High, Cartersville Middle and High, Cass Middle andHigh, Excel Christian Academy, South Central Middle and Woodland Middle.An official exhibition opening reception for the student-artists and their families will be held on Thursday,March 24 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Booth Western Art Museum. The Middle and High School ArtExhibit will remain on display in Borderlands Gallery until April 10, 2016.
