For Immediate Release Press Contact: Tom Shinall Director of Marketing [email protected] 770-387-1300 BOOTH PHOTOGRAPHY GUILD ANNOUNCES WINNERS FROM ANNUAL EXHIBITION AT BOOTH WESTERN ART MUSEUM Six photographers recognized for their work in the Booth Photography Guild ExhibitionCARTERSVILLE, GEORGIA – Booth Western Art Museum is pleased to announce the opening of the 6thannual Booth Photography Guild Exhibition in Borderlands Gallery. On view through November 13,2016, this juried exhibition features 43 framed, large-scale images by 28 photographers who aremembers of the Booth Photography Guild (BPG). In June, 180 images were submitted to be juried by CarlFredrickson and Gittel Price, accomplished and multiple award-winning photographers from the metro-Atlanta area. The year-long project was chaired by BPG member Jennifer Boykin of Kennesaw.On Saturday, August 27, BPG Members and guests gathered in Bergman Theatre at Booth Western ArtMuseum for the announcement of the winners as judged by Fredrickson and Price. The 2016 BoothPhotography Guild Exhibition winners are:First Place: John Mariana (Kennesaw, GA) for Heaven’s GateSecond Place: Pam Randolph (Dallas, GA) for Brooklyn VistaThird Place: Lynn Henderson (Cartersville, GA) for Train DaysHonorable Mention: Stennis Shotts (Kingsland, TX) for High FlyerHonorable Mention: Terry Gilliam (Johns Creek, GA) for Rainy Day RedsParticipants’ Choice Award: Arnold Abelman (Marietta, GA) for Afternoon at VestrahornPlease visit Borderlands Gallery to view the exhibit and see the winning images.About Booth Photography GuildThe Booth Photography Guild was founded in 2010 in conjunction with a group of interested andexperienced photography members of Booth Museum.
