NEW AGE CAMPUS JKLU’s sprawling hi-tech, 30-acre campus set in picturesque surroundings provides a refreshing environment for stimulating intellectual alertness and creativity. This lush green and Wi-Fi enabled campus has several amphitheaters as classrooms, and reasonably large syndicates and tutorial rooms, conference rooms, a computer centre, a fully automated library, a Management Development Centre, modern sports facilities, academic and administrative blocks. Computational Facuilities The University has well equipped computer laboratories with Multiprocessor servers and latest PCs, Networking equipment’s and devices. The software available includes various operating systems, compilers, simulation and modeling packages and development tools. These software packages and tools are useful for laboratory work as well as for professional development work. Information Technology (IT) Centre20

InfrastructureHardwareJKLU has setup start of the art server infrastructure using IBM X series 3650 Servers having36 processing core and 192 GB of RAM. The setup is virtualized using VMware and MicrosoftHyper- V hypervisors. VDI (virtual desktop Infrastructure) setup has been created for runningvarious labs which is powered by this server setup. Virtualization software solves the problemby enabling several operating systems and applications to run on one physical server or“host.” Each self-contained virtual machine (VM) is isolated from the others, and uses asmuch of the host’s computing resources as it requires. Few of the advantages are: Reducedcapital and operating costs, consolidated hardware to get higher productivity with fewerservers, reduced power consumption, optimum utilization of each server.NetworkInternet & Wi-FiSoftware 21

Network analysis Lab Network analysis Lab based on Virtualization and VDI technology has been also setup in new lab block which is having 40 Thin PC’s. The complete lab performs computation on the virtualized central server setup to unleash the optimum use of available server hardware. Private Cloud Powered by the above virtualized setup JKLU also hosted a private cloud in the campus to host few applications and services for students’ academic and E-Learning purposes. Modeling and simulation Lab Modeling and simulation Lab having High end Pc’s along with dedicated Graphic Card is also setup in new lab block. The Lab consists of 30 PCs for performing Simulations using packages like MATLAB, StadPro and other Software’s from Bentley Network Subscription. Hostels Healthcare Centre ATM/Bank Management Development Centre (MDC) The aim of Management Development Centre (MDC) is to maintain a close interface and interac- tion with industry to facilitate two way learning. The MDC of JKLU has the state-of-art infrastruc- ture and facilities required for 21st century knowledge delivery system. Within a short span of time, the MDC has emerged as a Centre of excellence in executive education. MOU with IL&FS and JCB has been signed and skill development programme introduced since 2014. 356 capable executives and 470 faculty members have benefitted by attending various Management and Faculty Development Programmes respectively.24
