A Woman's Work Is Never Done Girl's Soccer Women's lib is really making a mark at Hillcrest . The girl's soccer team is a good example of this. They are a team of girls playing a sport that was originally made for males. And to make it a total wom- en's team, they even have a wom- an coach. Coach Julie Wilson stat- ed, \"This is the second year Hillcrest has had a girl's team and this is the first year that I've coached at Hill- crest . The girls are determined and I think that we will put up a good fight against our opponents.\" Tryouts were held the first week in March, with practice every day. rain or shine, after school through out April. Coach Pierce really knows his job. All the team members hove go1ned a lot from him. Coach Pierce admitted. \"I was en- couraged by the young group and their motivation. Th1ngs should be better in the upcom1ng years It's a great sport and I hope more people become 1nvolved 1n it .. Senior. Steve Sumpsion, has won a lot of races these past three years but this year was a very successful year for him. He took fourth in the Provo invitation, and fifth in the Murray invita- tional. He also took second in region and seventeenth in state. Steve works out ever- yday by running three to six miles during seventh period. Steve was offered a full ride scholarship to the University of Utah. Steve works real hard and he says its worth it. \"It's good to run because a lot of university's are inter- ested in good runners,\" ad- ded Steve. \"Some of us hod a rough time but with thr rest of the teams help, we just kept on going Everyone supported each other .
