FOREVER CHEERING ON! If you don't think cheerleading is a sport you haven't watched the game. Cheerleading involves countless hours of practice, total commit- ment and dedication, not only to the squad but also to the student body. The cheerleaders and songleaders were all selected the spring before to prepare them- selves for the year ahead. This also required summer practices at 6:00 to 8:00 every morning. The squad attended the USA Camp at Utah State for a week during the summer. There they were taught new routines, cheers, stun ts, unity and school spirit. At school, they were responsible for planning and performing at Pep Assemblies and also promoting school pride. Head cheerleader Samantha Crump says \" Cheerleading is a lot of hard work and dedication but the friendship you make is worth every minute.\" Thanks cheerleaders!J.V.
