Polynesian Club Building Culture and Community TraditionHeritage The Polynesian culture is family and community centered, stemming from villages that were located close to one another, with very little land and foods. Th1s resulted in the necessity to rely on one another for shared resources. At Jordan High School, this strong connection to family and community is apparent in the Polynesian Cultural Club. Members of the club are among some of the friendliest, most out-going and loyal Beetdiggers. They share a strong motivation for building relationships with others and sharing their positive outlook on life. Club Members have enjoyed the first year of this club and are looking forward to building its membership and celebrat1ng their cultural heritage through encourag1ng awareness and knowledge about their traditions and values. One memorable experience was the Multicultural Assembly, where some students shared traditional Polynesian dances with the other students of Jordan H1gh. The artistry and storytelling behind the dances were a huge hit and Beetdiggers are excited to learn more about this unique culture.
