This summer found football players tackling dummies, lifting weights, laps around the track, giving up wine and women, and hitting the sack at 10:00. Anticipation was shared by coach, team, and spectator. Even the bench warmers had a positive attitude. The team lived in their own world of first downs, red flags, fumbles, and intercepted passes.
