Drama & DramaDebate 'To act or not to act, that is the question,\" posed to many students wanting to be in the Drama Club. This club is for more than just people called \"drama studs\". Anyone can be in it. Yes, even the jocks. Acting is a way to become someone else and not worry about your own problems. The Drama Club is not only for the people who have drama classes. If someones schedule won't allow them to take the class, they can be in the club and participate in the activities. ThisyearforChrist- mas, the club went to Primary Childrens Hospital and put on skits for the sick children. This year's President is Turia Sohm, Vice Presi- dent is Jason Runyan, secretary is Angela English and historian is Laura Kennedy. Mrs. Sandstrom is the advisor. They have worked very hard this year to bring up the Drama department and we are proud to have them at Jordan High School. Debate The Debate Club is an organization that provides an opportunity for students to excel in speaking, both logically and argumentively in competitions. These activities often end in scholarship opportuni- ties. The club advisor is Ms. LeBeau. In October, the Debate Club held an election week. They began with a series of debates, they represented all the candidates and the issues. There was an election held for students to vote for presi- dent, governor, senator, congressman and issues such as term limitations, parimutuel betting, and if the \"Beetdigger\" name should be carried on to the new school when it is built.
