No: N/A References: AAR MSRP’s Approved By: AJ Lisabelle AAR Field Manual Date: 09/09/2021 Page: 1 of 2 Revision Date: N/A Controlled Copy No: Master Copy 1.0 Purpose: 1.1 To outline the process of reporting components applied to railcars repaired at Frit Car, Inc. in accordance with the AAR Component ID (CID) program. 2.0 Scope: 2.1 This procedure applies to Brewton, Alabama and Bridgeton, North Carolina facilities. 3.0 Personnel Qualifications 3.1 Frit Car, Inc. Inspection personnel shall be knowledgeable of the tasks to be performed. 3.2 It is the responsibility of the Department Supervisor to see that these CID tasks are performed and properly recorded on the appropriate report forms. 3.3 It is the responsibility of the data entry personnel to ensure the correct information is entered in the RAILINC system as required. 4.0 Training 4.1 All affected personnel shall be given an overview of expectations and procedures. Reference the RAILINC Component Tracking website. 5.0 Procedure 5.1 This procedure refers to the following components. Additional information can be attained through • referencing the indicated sections in the AAR Field Manual. • • Wheelsets: AAR Field Manual Rule 44.B.5 • Couplers: AAR Field Manual Rules 16.B.16, 17.B.15, and 18.B.14 • Bolsters: AAR Field Manual Rule 47.B.10 • Side Frames: AAR Field Manual Rule 48.B.9 • Slack Adjusters: AAR Field Manual Rule 8.E.4 5.2 Air Brake Valves (Emergency and/or Service brake valves): AAR Field Manual Rule 4.B.13 Pressure Relief Valves: AAR Field Manual Rule 81.B.6 5.3 When a component under the AAR Component ID program is applied to a railcar it must be entered into the 5.4 RAILINC website www.railinc.com. The railcar shall not be released to the railroad/outbound without CID Label information for all applicable components applied. For instruction on how to obtain a Component ID, follow the field registration instructions on the RAILINC website https://www.railinc.com/emis/Field_Registration.htm.
