Employee and Volunteer of the year BCCT held it’s Christmas party late in November. At the party we announced our volunteer and employee of the year. Gaye ”Brownie” Brown was announced as the volunteer of the year. Gaye volunteers on our Tuesday and Wednesday shopping runs. She is a joy to have as part of our team. Koala Park Sanctuary Friday 27 January What a better way to celebrate post-Australia Day than a visit to the Koala Park Sanctuary. February 2023 EVENTS & ACTIVITY HIGHLIGHTS Seniors Expo / Premiers Gala Thursday 2 & Friday 3 February A thank you to seniors for contributing to NSW with a FREE star-studded concert at the ICC. This event is TBC as tickets are not released to BCCT until closer to the date. The outing cost is for transport only, tickets are free, and you will need to buy your own lunch. You may also like to pop next door and say hello to our staff at the Community Transport stall inside the Seniors Expo running on the same days as the concert! BCCT BBQ – Seniors Week event FREE EVENT Monday 6 February To celebrate Senior’s Week and our lovely clients, BCCT will host a FREE BBQ at Garrison Point. Catch up with friends, take a stroll around the Georges River and enjoy a BBQ lunch on us! Get to know Fatat Name: Fatat Position: Client Services Officer Time at BCCT: 5 months Fatat was enrolled at Granville TAFE to complete her Diploma in Community Services, to complete this she had to do hours within the community and that is how we met. Fatat fit right in with the team and was so good with our clients we just had to offer her a job! Luckily for us she accepted. Q: If given the option to time travel would you go forwards or backwards in time? A: Forward. The past is the past. Q: Do you prefer sweet or savory? A: Sweet. I like donuts and ice-cream.
