Trips to Liverpool will not incur the new additional increase. We have had to introduce this new fare category due to the limited demand and the additional resources these trips incur. Trips to Westmead, Fairfield, Parramatta, Guildford, Prairiewood and Merrylands will fall into this new fare category. Please note that there may be additional locations charged at this rate. If in doubt, contact the office. We know that these increases may be unaffordable for some clients, especially with the cost of living increasing dramatically over the past year. We would like to remind all our clients that BCCT hasn’t increased our fares in five years, with the last increase taking effect on 1 July 2018. We want to keep our services as affordable as possible for all clients, and don’t want clients to miss out on social connections, which is why we always include a FREE outing each month, to ensure all clients have access to our social outings program. Clients who receive a Home Care Package should have received a letter directly from the Federal Government advising you of an increase in your home care package to cover the cost of the recently announced Aged Care wage increase. This means you should have an increase in your package to cover some or all of the increase in our fares. “Transporting you to a more connected future”

ARE YOU A MAN WHO IS INTERESTED IN JOINING A MEN’S SUPPORT GROUP? Then let us know by calling the office and asking to speak with Hayley. We are hoping to start a men’s support group once a month. At this stage we aren’t sure about the day or the location but are calling for expressions of interest from male clients looking to get out and interact with other men. We know there is a need, as last year’s client survey showed there was interest.
