Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Audit As many of you are aware, we were recently audited by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission against the Aged Care Standards. Thank you to all the clients who participated in the audit and provided the Commission with feedback about our services. The auditors advised us that all the clients they spoke with were very positive about our services. This feedback reflects that feedback we received directly from you all in our last client survey. We always welcome feedback – both positive and negative – as feedback helps us inform and improve our services. Whilst we don’t have the results of the audit yet, we wanted to pass on our thanks to the clients who participated. We will provide a further update once we receive the outcome of the audit. May 2023 EVENTS & ACTIVITY HIGHLIGHTS Aqua Aerobics Thursday 4 May Have you been thinking about doing some gentle exercise? What about in a heated pool? Why not use BCCT to get you to your local Canterbury Bankstown Leisure Centre for some Aqua Aerobics? We can provide transport for a return fare of $8.00, with entry into the Aqua Aerobics Class being an additional $15.00, to be paid at the venue. Gallipoli Mosque Tour & Dooleys Regents Park Monday 8 May Join us for a guided tour through Gallipoli Mosque where you will learn about the Mosque’s artwork and features, and learn about some of the beliefs and practices of Islam. Wulugul Walk Barangaroo FREE EVENT Friday 26 May National Sorry Day is Friday 26 May. BCCT will recognise the day by taking in the history and sights along Wulugul Walk on the Barangaroo foreshore. Get to know Daniel Name: Daniel Position: Client Services Time at BCCT: 5 months You have probably spoken to Daniel on the phone when making a booking. And soon you might see Daniel out and about on our assisted shopping runs. Daniel is currently in training to be carer on our vehicles as well as his office role. Daniel brightens up our office with smiles, laughs and knowledge. He teaches the team about things that young people are doing and using these days, like all in current slang words. Every day with Daniel is a SLAY. (This is young person slang for ‘you did something really well!’) Q: A fun fact that you know? A: An art thief is a person who takes pictures.
