Where it began... From Humble Beginnings... DSBloomfields launched its first horsebox The first Bloomfields ‘factory’... range in 2005, designed and built by The second Bloomfields factory... founder Dean Moody. From humble beginnings, Dean built his first horsebox in the back yard of his parents house (called Bloomfield), and has since gone from strength to strength. In 2007 Dean took over his first unit on Boughton industrial estate and employed his first team member to help him keep up with the growing demand. The demand for Bloomfields Horseboxes soon started to increase and by 2012, Dean had taken on a further 2 units, making the total factory size 12,000 square feet, and by 2016 Bloomfields employed 25 of the industry’s most skilled and trained workforce and held VCA Conformity of Production certification and VCA European Type Approval. Being a horse owner from a young age and a trained vehicle body technician, Dean always strives to challenge the status quo of horsebox manufacture. Bloomfields is now a world wide recognised brand with an outstanding reputation for exceptional build quality but still offering sensible prices, with an unrivalled aftercare. Always striving to stay ahead with our innovation, we have a team of engineers and designers who create new innovative features and test new materials to be sure that all of our horseboxes are as strong and safe as can be. The next step... In early 2017 we moved from our rented DSfactory in Boughton to our purchased 44,000 square foot factory on a 2 acre site in Worksop. This move was exactly what was needed to meet the massive demand for Bloomfields Horseboxes across the UK and the world. The new premises could allow production to reach up to 10 horseboxes per week and Bloomfields now employs up to 45 of the industry’s most skilled and trained workforce. The new factory was officially opened in June 2017 by the Bassetlaw Council Chairwoman at our very successful and busy open day. All our horseboxes undergo a rigorous 160 point quality inspection throughout the build and spray process from one of our quality assurance team, ensuring that no quality is lost throughout the production process. We pride ourselves on our build quality, customer service, and aftersales support. We actively encourage factory visits, believing that knowing the quality of a horsebox without seeing it in its rawest stage is almost impossible. All aspects of the bespoke builds are executed in house and our 4 bays are open to inspection from any potential purchaser.

Each year at Bloomfields one of our biggest investments is into the research and development of our products. We DShave a strong team of Developers, Design Engineers, and Quality Managers. We are continually designing and testing the latest materials. We use 3D design programmes and 3D printing to ensure all of our finished extrusions are accurate to the highest tolerances before having them in production. When testing the latest materials we always ensure that not only is the strength of the materials absolutely second to none for your horsebox, but that any materials we use are mindful of the carbon footprint they leave behind, helping to ensure our planet’s future. Of course, what goes into the manufacture of your horsebox is absolutely paramount to us, but we also understand that one of the most exciting aspects of the horsebox for you, our customer, is your colour choice. That is why we offer a personalised design service tailored specifically to you. Once you give us an indication of your desired colour palette, you can leave the rest to us. Once your design is finalised, it is time for our painters to work their magic and make your dream a reality...

The Legacy SLE incorporates two fully moulded glass fibre reinforced tack lockers as standard. Designed and made by Bloomfields to keep in with our ‘safety first’ ethos the tack lockers are totally smooth and edge free. As standard, each locker incorporates a fold away saddle rack and bridle hook but as with all of our boxes we can bespoke fit the tack lockers to make the best use of space for each individual’s requirements. The Legacy SLE has a separated extended living space with a full height door through to the horse area, including ample space for the two large moulded external tack lockers, which provides easy tack access and makes full use of all space available. mpact The Eventer Compact is the shortest of our Eventer range. Available in 3.5T, 4T, 4.25T and 4.5T the Compact is an ideal box for one person staying away with their horse or a two person day box. The Luton area can be made with a mattress, locking doors and ladders to allow for a second person to sleep. The Eventer Compact has a stable door system into the horse area to allow the heating to circulate throughout the box if someone chooses to sleep in the luton, or just to make life easy while sharing a snack with your horses on board. The Eventer Compact has an empty weight of approximately 2680kg (depending on specification)
