To your base mixture, add a tiny bit of yellow like you did with the edam. Step 2. We’re going to be using the same method as with the edam to cover your cheese-coloured clay with white. First, roll out the white on some talcum powder, making a thin layer of white. Then place the cheese inside and roll the white over it. Step 3. Cut off the excess white, squeeze the ends together, and smooth the edges. Step 4. Roll this into a ball shape. Once you have a ball, place it on your mat and use your finger to squash it down, making the top and bottom flat with the cheese still round. Step 5. Continue to shape the cheese, smoothing it as you go. Use the end of your rolling pin to flatten it if the top pops up as you’re working.72 june 2014 D O L L S H O U S E W O R L D
