First, Eva explains, “I live in Spain, and wanted this rustic kitchen room box to represent a Mediterranean lifestyle, which for me, is healthy food and growing friendships.” So, speaking of food, let’s look inside the cabinet Eva made from balsa wood and cardboard. The jars were all gifts and are filled with raspberry jam, honey, and bread crumbs. The cheeses on the shelf came in a pack, but Eva took on the challenge of making the Stilton cheeses and was very happy with how thy turned out. She also made the two breads in the basket on Right: Fresh ingredients to make a delicious Mediterranean meal in a miniature rustic kitchen.

For example, the cushion was handmade and stitched by Eva’s good friend, Rosan- na, and given to her when Rosanna came to visit her, in Barcelona. She comments, “It’s amazingly tiny; I feel it is perfect because of the beautiful message on it.” She goes on to tell us, “The pretty decorated pumpkins were from my friend Elena, while the wine box with lid, were from another friend, Carmen. The green pot sitting on the shelf was a gift from Sandra, from a SWAP. And, the chilies I strung together began as a gift, as well.” Happily, she adds, “Thank you so much to everybody for the gifts, and for the talent in the purchased items.” Eva is happy to share some of the techniques she used in making this 1:12 scale Mediter- ranean kitchen scene:Above and Left: For Eva, Terra-cotta flooreach little treasure holds a The terra-cotta floor began asspecial thought about one 2mm thick cardboard.
