An added bonus is that I can move the box slightly forward to press the torch button which is on the outside when I want the light on and when the battery needs replacing I can just take out the torch and put it back in. The Internet provided a lovely picture of the inside of a brocante shop, so I printed it to size and glued it to the back wall. It began to look nice but it needed more. I had to add a shelf to prevent peo- ple from looking up and seeing the torch, and the wall picture needed more depth. I glued some minis like a picture frame, a hat, etc. to the wall and used 3D decoupage to make some items on the wall stand out more. I basically cut out several prints of the items and glued them to the wall with foam spacers between the layers. D O L L H O U S E M I N I A T U R E S 73

And after trying out tons of missing and I could not figure out what it project I make but that wasbrocante items I got down to gluing eve- was. First I thought it was my signature not it. The cat looked fine when glued to the doorstep but the shop still needed something.… Yes! Red geraniums in terracotta pots on the wall. I bought a kit to make those and, boy, they were the most nerve-wracking mini I ever did. It was days later when I realized that me having a cold and sneezing and coughing was what had made the flow- ers fly all over the place and made things so hard. But with the geraniums in place, the scene was done. I know it needs glass in front but I wanted to take pictures first and for some reason I still like to be able to reach inside to change or add something, so if the glass will ever be there remains to be seen. For now I am happy with it and I am going to switch on the light, sit down, and enjoy my mini trip to France.
