FIND A CERTIFIED GREAT PRINTER INJURY PROTECTION PIM offers an array of services designed to reduce injuries and keep regulators at bay. Staff consultants offer on-site compliance audits and a PIM Great Printer Certification Program that ensures regulation & green compliance. PIM GREAT PRINTERS With all the talk about being a “Green Printer” it is important to know about the PIM Great Printer Environmental Initiative. This program has been in place for over 18 years, recognizing printers for their efforts in environmental and safety operations. Great Printer Certification ensures that safety and environmental practices at your company are in place. The certification requires that companies complete an audit conducted by PIM staff, and implement two “above compliance” projects. Printers in this program have improved the environment by: • Using less hazardous solvents to clean the presses • Purchasing wind generated electrical energy • Many other “green” initiatives Great Printers comply with all safety and environmental regulations and move to Beyond Compliance. Print buyers recognize the sustainability of Great Printers! CERTIFICATION ADVANTAGES Certified Great Printers can use the program logo on marketing materials. In addition, having the Great Printer logo on your front door is an indication to an OSHA inspector that you are indeed going above and beyond to comply with all areas of safety and environmental regulations. Some print buyers require this certification, and some printers require their print partners to be certified before considering them for outsourcing opportunities. The Great Printer Certification process and outcomes tell your employees that providing a safe workplace is important to the company standards. There are three criteria companies must meet before qualifying for the program: 1. Commit to the PIM Great Printer Environmental Initiative Principles. 2. C omplete an Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance Audit. 3. Pursue Beyond Compliance Projects. “With Paul’s expertise and guidance in the area of environmental and safety in the workplace, we have successfully went through several EPA and OSHA inspections with ZERO citations.
