HIGHLIGHTS Three Hostels Handed Over in NuwakotAuder Arzamend and Asier Benooa were Hostel at Chandeyshowri Schoolwith NJSI in August for the first time to conduct aworkshop for the staff members. NJSI INTERVENTIONS AND ACTIVITIESKavre Nutrition for Special ChildrenMedical Intervention at Jaretar Special Nutritious food was dristributed to the chal- lenged children of Bhagwati School and Kali Devi School in Kavre. NJSI has been supporting the special children through medical and psychatric intervention, training the care takers and also building hostels and activity centers. Jhapa ST. Distribution of Relief to the Flood VictimsAugust 2017 flood had affected many parts of theterai region. Jhapa is also one of the most affectedarea. Many houses were washed away, many becamehomeless, some of them have lost their lives, losttheir dear ones, loved ones. DolakhaHanding Over Program at Suri Lalitpur Vocational Trainnings for the YouthThe program was conducted in the presence of lo-cal people, local leader, NJSI staff members andFr. Boniface Tigga. The recurring rainfallhas been affecting the countinuity of the constructionprocess. The local labourers cleared the debris, andremoved the craced rocks that was beyond the reachof the excavator before moving forward.

NJSI is providing vocational trainning to the peopleof Tipling, Dolakha, Sindhupalchowk for 3 months atDonbosco. Altogether there are 13 participants. Tai-loring, beaty palour course are provided to the girlswhereas computer course is provided to the boys.Accomodations, fooding, transportation are pro-vided from NJSI. The trainning is going smoothly.Model Farm at Lubhu There were altogether 21 participants, 19 were male and 2 were female.The trainer Samdan Lama Sherpa an officer of ICIMOD Knowledge Park, Godavari along with his supporting team member conducted various types of training such as 3D Farming Technique, Bio Internship Farming, En- closed Composting, Mushroom Farming, etc.NJSI has constructed agriculture model farmin Lubhu with the help of Pemba Gale. Thisagriculture model farm will be used for pro-viding trainning to the agricultrual trainees.Agriculture Trainning for LivelihoodNJSI collaboration with ICIMOD, Nepal had con-ducted four days agriculture training program from16th to 19th August for Ramechhap and Sindhupal-chowk district people at knowledge park ICIMODGodavari.
