01 MESSAGE FROM DIRECTOR’S DESK Namaste! We are delighted to share an exclusive publication of our newsletter MRG BITS, Volume II celebrating the numerous achievements by our students and staff in varied spheres of academics and non- academics learnt at MRG School. It is with even more happiness and pride that I announce the completion of 10 years of MRG. A meaningful milestone marking the love, dedication and care of staff members, our students and parents. It is such a symbolic time for the school and to celebrate the occasion we inaugurated our SPARK- centre that shall cater to the co-scholastic education at the school and provide state of art infrastructure. The intention and objective of a holistic education today is to provide opportunities that will prepare young minds for a future in rapidly changing and evolving environment. At MRG we engage students in learning through innovative ways through which they are able to display empathy, compassion, respect and gratitude. With the association of our academic partner Shri Educare Ltd, we will be able to instil a love for learning in students and excel in academics. It gives me immense pleasure to share that MRGians have once again lived up to its expectations and have sustained excellent academic standards in the Midterm Assessments. They have also participated enthusiastically in extracurricular activities in this quarter thereby ensuring an all-round and balanced development. I’m also pleased to share that the parents associated with the school have also been very encouraging and supporting various forms of learnings at the school in their own ways. I wish to express my gratitude to all the parents who completed the Parent Satisfaction Survey Form shared by the school in this quarter and approximately 85% of parents have shared a satisfied response for the school. The school is always striving to create innovative spaces for learning. Our newly introduced SPARK Centre is designed to stimulate the learners to discover their own true potential and will lend them a sense of enterprise, whilst developing aesthetic sensibilities and a spirit of sportsmanship. International Tiger Day is observed on July 29th every year to raise awareness about tiger conservation. Our kindergarten students were sensitive to the urgent need to safeguard tigers during the celebration. Numerous art and craft activities were organised for students to raise awareness of the importance of preserving tigers. They also enjoyed playing games like tiger run, tiger puzzle and dressing up as tigers. They understood the fact that we should do everything in our power to safeguard tigers since they hold a particular place in both the world, our lives and pledged to do the same.

Apart from the marathon, poster making competition on sports-related themes was also held. MRGians actively participated in the marathon.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLIES 09 Quit India Movement To remember the sacrifices of heroes, class VI A students presented a special assembly where they showcased the determination of the people of India to free themselves from British rule through a small skit. The assembly depicted the struggle of freedom fighters. It was concluded by a patriotic dance to cherish the freedom of our country. ‘ SDG 3 GOOD HEALTH WELL BEING : Achieve universal health coverage’ The students of class VI- B presented an assembly centered on SDG-3 Good Health and Wellbeing. The students through a presentation showcased the importance of good health and wellbeing. The assembly focussed on promoting healthy lifestyles and sharing preventive measures for everyone. Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat Students of class VI C showcased their assembly on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. It was an effort of the students to present the value of cleanliness in the form of “Nukkad Natak” & a dance performance. Through the presentation, the students made the audience aware of cleanliness and presented their solutions to clean the environment. Janmashtami Assembly Our little MRGians celebrated Janmashtami with a flurry of excitement! They gave the entire celebration a traditional touch and filled the air with delight by dancing to the beat of Janmashtami songs.

10 National Unity Day As school resumed after the Diwali break, students of class XI-B were proud to present an assembly on the theme of “National Unity Day” A special skit was prepared by all the students of XI- B, keeping the audience glued to the stage, as students showcased the unity in diversity in India. Students also expressed the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and even the sacrifices made by common men from different religions in India. Then students emphasized the importance of 31 October, celebrated as “National Unity Day” to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. Students solemnly took the “Unity Pledge” to honor Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel’s contribution to the unity of India.The assemblay portrayed a strong message in a subtle way. Theme- Fighting Communicable Diseases The CAIE IV students put on a magnificent Special Assembly centered on SDG 3-Good Health and Wellbeing as part of a series of efforts to promote healthy living. During the presentation, the students raised awareness of communicable diseases and how they can be prevented by taking care of and upholding social and personal hygiene. The pupils’ propagation of the good message was certainly a delight. “The greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals.” The enthusiastic learners of grade II displayed the true colours of Indian culture through a presentation titled ‘Festivals of India’. The presentation was aimed at exposing the learners to culturally rich experiences so that they can imbibe imperative values early on in their life. The objective was to engage them in experiential learning which adds on to their holistic development. The constant smile and the incessant applause of the parents was a testimony of them thoroughly savouring the performance of their children.

11 On the occasion of Diwali, Students of Grade I enthusiastically participated in the special assembly. The students dressed up as different characters from the Ramayana and showcased mesmerizing performances of the story. They also presented their concerns and discussed the dangerous effects of lighting firecrackers and promoted \"Green Diwali\" by performing a skit and foot-tapping dance show. The audience was enthralled by their performance. \"Without justice and love, peace will always be a great illusion.” Class IX B presented a special assembly on the theme of SDG-16 'Peace,Justice and Strong Institutions.' They showcased the feelings that the citizens of Russia and Ukraine might be having because of the ongoing war. The students tried to spread the message of peace and love. 15 The school conducts a multi hued spectrum of club activities which amalgamates in itself various creative events, displaying the creative acumen of young MRGians. Activities conducted in various clubs reflect the keen learning and progress that the students make in the chosen arena of activity. School has broadly categorized various clubs which lay focus on different aspects of skill and creativity. These clubs aim at providing a wonderful opportunity and platform to students to churn their creativity in the chosen domain and showcase their learning through various activities.

EXCURSIONS 16 A VISIT TO LORD GANESHA PANDAL MRG SCHOOL To seek the divine blessing of Lord Ganesha, the students of Elementary Wing of our school attended the Ganesh Utsav. The students during the visit were found singing hymns, chants and devotional songs enthusiastically. The visit not only brought devotion in the learners but also instiled in them the cultural values which are the essence of education. A VISIT TO THE GURUDWARA SAHIB “Let no man in the world live in delusion. Without a Guru none can cross over to the other shore.“ -Guru Nanak Dev ji A visit to the Gurudwara Sahib was organised for MRGians on the occasion of Gurupurab. It was heartening to see the kids sitting solemnly and showing great respect to the traditions practised at the holy place. AN ADVENTUROUS ROCK SPORT CAMP & TRIP TO VISHALGARH The students at MRG had a gala time during the commemoration of Children’s Day. The students of classes Pre School to VII rejoiced an adventurous Rock Sport Camp whereas the students from VIII onwards went on a trip to Vishalgarh Farms. Their cheerful faces showed the amount of fun they had! A TRIP TO DUBAI Educational trips are a perfect platform for students to bond with peers. MRG organised an educational trip to Dubai for the students of grade VIII-XII. The trip helped the students to socialize and explore the Museum of Future, Burj Khalifa ,Desert Safari and many more. The students felt energetic, excited and thrilled in anticipation of fresh perspectives and informal environments.

17 Class Activities CAIE I CHICKEN LICKEN In this activity, learners read and summarized the story of Chicken Licken as they prepared beautiful mind maps of the story characters. Through this they revised and recalled the story really well. They immensely enjoyed doing this activity. छोटी सी आशा इसम ब ों ने ब त ही मज़े के साथ काय िकया | ब ों ने जो वो बड़े होकर बना चाहत है उस पर कु छ पांिकितयाँ पर ूत करी। यह गितिविध ब त ही लाभदायक और रोमांचक थी | इसम सभी ब ों ने कथनी के मा म से अपना सपना सभी िव ािथयों के साथ साँझा िकया । FINDING MATERIAL This activity made learning more fun and interesting for the learners as they were engaged in the hunting process. In this activity they searched for the things made up of different materials around them in the classroom. LET’S HALF The learners underwent a great learning process as they applied the concept of fractions (halves) in their day to day life by doing the halves of different shapes. Now, they are able to do halves of almost all the things and this will help them in fair sharing of things. MY EARTH This activity was a great learning experience for the learners as they applied the facts that they learned about their planet Earth. They created a model of planet Earth. With this they learned about the surface covered with water and land.

18 CAIE II PAMPHLET ON HEALTHY HABITS The learners exhibited their creativity by creating pamphlets on the theme of keeping healthy in connection with one of the challenges of Global Perspectives. The learners through the activity understood the importance of fruits and vegetables in their diet and how they help us to fight infections. कोिशश करने वालोंकी हार नही ंहोती, लहरोंसे डर कर नौका पार नही ंहोती। छा और छा ाओं ने अपनी िहंदी गितिविध सु िस किव और कविय ी के अिभनय के मा म से इस बात को सािबत कर िदया की कोिशश करने वाला कभी हारता नहींहै। LIGHT SOURCES The learners investigated different types of light sources and conducted experiments. It enhanced their natural curiosity to wonder about everything in the world. INVESTIGATE NUMBER ZERO The learners understood the application of the number zero in various mathematical operations. They closely observed the patterns followed and attained knowledge about how the value changes when a different application is applied. MENU CARD MAKING Learners created nutritional menu cards. Highlighting the amount of nutrition they are getting from healthy sandwiches they made in class. The learners were excited to make the menu card which reflected upon their learning.

19 CAIE III COMPLETE COMPLEMENTS Learners got to know about the complements of 10 and 100 which helped them find the estimates of numbers easily and eased mental calculations. मुहावरा चाट मुहावरे िवशेष प से उपयोगी होते ह, ोिं क वे यं को अिभ करने का एक नया, रचना क तरीका दान करते ह । मुहावरे भाषा को सु ढ़, गितशील और िचकर बनाते ह। मुहावरों के योग से भाषा म अद् भुत िच मयता आती है। मुहावरों के िबना भाषा िन ेज, नीरस और िन ाण हो जाती हैl GETTING TO KNOW METALS Learners were engaged in researching the metals. They conducted an inquiry based on different metals and presented their findings to their peers. Through this activity, they developed skills based on researching, identifying and classifying materials into different metals. RE GROUPING Students used Dienes block to understand the regrouping in addition and subtraction. This made them understand the purpose of carrying forward and borrowing the numbers while finding the sum and difference. CHOOSING EQUIPMENT - SIEVING The learners, during the engaging activity developed the skills that involved evaluating and analyzing the properties of the materials. The learners learnt to use the equipment correctly to separate mixtures and apply their critical thinking skills by sorting the materials.

20 CAIE IV MY 2D WORLD Learners opened the gates to their creative minds and imaginative world. They made different things using 24D shapes and explained their properties. This activity brought out their innovative side. INCORPORATING INFOGRAPHICS! The students enhanced their research abilities as they worked upon to compile the data based on the Indian National Flag. As part of the enjoyable learning exercise, the children read about the evolution of the Indian flag and its journey as well as the importance of its three colors. RANGOMETRY CREATION Learners created different patterns and things using rangometry 2D shapes. This helped them understand the concept of 2D shapes better and the fact that we are surrounded with shapes. ROLL, RECORD AND TALLY It's true that practical knowledge stays for a longer period of time. Hence, hands-on activity like this made students understand the importance of data collection, recording and representing by rolling the dice and recording the data and representing it in a tally chart. SCIM! SCAN! SUMMARIZE! When students are actively involved in a thorough and enjoyable learning process, reading becomes enjoyable. It was a pleasure to observe the students as they summarized knowledge in a mind-map and enjoyed learning things about different birds and animals. The students organized the information in a creative and thorough manner by working both independently and in groups.

21 STUDENT LED CONFERENCE (SLC) “We don’t learn from experience. We learn from reflecting on experience.” - John Dewey The learners of Cambridge Wing left everyone astounded with their incredible academic journey during the Student Led Conference. The learners during the conference, unveiled their extraordinary experience and reflected upon their learning as they shared their bits with their parents. The students wondrously presented the portfolio of work from each subject and showcased their work samples. Not only this, they also shared their learning target mastery, goals and action plan for improvement. It was an enthralling experience to witness the young minds exhibiting their mesmerising journey. INQUIRY PROJECT The pursuit of one's interests, learning something new, improving one's problem-solving abilities, and engaging in novel challenges are all made possible through research. Throughout the academic year, the Cambridge Wing students were engaged in stimulating and fascinating inquiry-based projects. The projects not only assisted the students in gaining a thorough understanding of the subject matter, but also in integrating the principles learned across other subject areas. As they were absorbed in many projects linked to plants, health and vaccines, waste management, habitat, and trendy sustainable energy, the students' curiosity increased. It was a delight to see the learners reflecting back upon the knowledge and skilled attained.

Parent Connect 22 Grandparents Day Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers and the keepers of traditions. To honour them, MRG School celebrated Grandparents Day on 10th September, 2022. The event won hearts as it consisted of Retro Walk, Retro Dance, Race, Potter’s Wheel, and Secret Recipe. The grandparents were exhilarated to perform with their grandchildren. Not only did participation came in huge numbers but also the words of appreciation. Team MRG School would be elated to host more such events to acknowledge the importance of each and every relation! Gratitude Week MRG School celebrated the Gratitude week to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of our honorable chairman Sir Mr. Davender Kumar Ji. A week long celebration was held where children along with parents participated in different activities such as Cricket League for Fathers, Musical Evening for Grandparents & Shake a leg for our lovely mothers. The school was enthused with happiness and joy.
