Presidential Address: Presiding Officer TM AkashSriram welcomed the members of Coimbatore Toastmasters Club and the guests. He listed the dates that were told to be the ‘Doomsday’ earlier and informed that the recalculation of this day was done again. 21st June 2020 is said to be the ‘Doomsday’’ per the Mayan Calendar. In this case, this current meeting will be the last meeting before the end of the world and asked us all to enjoy and party till we all feel contended. He then passed on the control to the Toastmaster of the Day DTM Rakesh Menon.

Toastmaster of the day: Toastmaster of the day DTM Rakesh Menon asked a couple members to share their memories on partying. He reminded the Toastmasters about the fun night on the second evening at the District Conference, ‘Ovation’ and made everyone feel nostalgic. The Toastmaster of the day also played few party songs and made everyone shake a leg. It was an enjoyment opportunity to dance at the comfort of our home and still connect with Coimbatore Toastmasters Club members virtually. Prepared Speeches: Speaker Level – Project - Individual Title Evaluator TM Tejas TM Praveena L1 – P3 – The impact TM of Google TM Shiny AkaashVaratha L4 – P1 – The class of rajan ’92 V2.0 TM Deepak TM Rathish L5 – P2 – Make a difference The impact of Google: The Mankind always wanted to know more information. The direct access to the answer for a question using Google has spoiled our critical thinking ability. Hence we shall start using encyclopedia to improve our skills in finding answers. The class of ’92 V2.0: He revolutionized the membership of Amrita Toastmasters Club by introducing a new induction for the prospective members named, ‘Pick it up’ and it continued to be an annual event after that. Like the Class of ’92 of the Manchester United FC his executive committee has set a path to follow.

Make a difference: He volunteered to empower few teenagers and joined the organization ‘Make a difference’. He got a chance to spend time with the youth, motivate them and inspire them to take up a wonderful path in life. This experience has created a great impact in his life. Table Topics: The Table Topics Master TM Abhinav based the topics on enjoying the life and partying. SPEAKERS TOPICS TM Ramya There are days when you are requested to TM Parthiban join a party and you reject it by saying that TM Kevin you have already planned some other party TM AkashSriram just to stay home and relax. DTM Akash DK TM Muthukumar Would you like to stay home or go to a party? TM Harsh TM Jagadeesan You are in a huge party place. When nothing goes right, go left. This is an ideal proverb for a party. You are at a party and a girl across the hall approaches you and asks your number. Please continue this story. You are given an opportunity to host a fun night. What plans would you do to make it memorable? Imagine you attended a party recently and the host asked you to give a feedback. Please use Toastmaster Sandwich technique to give this feedback. The stag passes costs double compared to the couple’s passes. Do you think it is fair? In order to become old and wise, we should be first young and stupid. That is why we should party hard.

TM Vishal A bad party is still a good thing as a Toastmaster. At least, you have a humorous speech to narrate. Evaluation: The General Evaluator TM Keerthana requested the Individual Evaluators and TAG team to present their evaluation report. The Individual Evaluators focused their evaluation on the critical aspects of the speech. EVALUATORS AREA OF IMPROVEMENT SUGGESTED TM Praveena Mentioning personal anecdote would have TM Shiny connected the content well with the audience. TM Deepak Working on pauses will take the speech to next level. Making sure that the hand gestures coincide with the content and introducing a variety of modulation during the speech would be great. Giving pauses between the speeches, mentioning dialogues to narrate the memories and impactful conclusion will make the speech enjoyable. TAG Team Submitted a precise report of the timing, Lexical fillers, non-lexical fillers and grammar usage. Word of the day: Rejoice-To feel or show great happiness. Use in sentence: Everyone rejoiced at the news of his safe return. Usage: Many speakers used the word of the day.

General Evaluator’s Appreciations:  Toastmaster of the day has put in a brilliant effort in making this virtual party enjoyable.  Table Topics Master has used a good idea to ask the guests to ping him if they are willing to take a topic.  Grammarian has done a value addition to the role by giving activities related to this role and the word of the day. General Evaluator’s Enhancements:  The attendance could be improved to 90% in the upcoming weeks.  We could avoid using public chat box when prepared speakers and evaluators are speaking. Instead, we shall use the private chat option. Feedback: The Presiding Officer TM AkashSriram requested the guests to deliver the feedback and the guest participated actively.
