INTRODUCTION: Application software is a single group of programs that allow access for specific tasks to be performed. Uses of a computer should familiarise themselves with the variety of applications that are available. The purpose of computer applications is that it can greatly simplify a task for a user. DEFINITION: Application software is capable of dealing with user inputs and helps the user to complete the task. It is also called end-user programe or only an app. Some examples of application software are word processing software, spreadsheets software, presentation, graphics, CAD/CAM, Firefox, sending email etc. TYPES OF APPLICATION SOFTWARE: NAME OF APPLICATION SOFTWARE: Mozhila Firefox is one of the best application software. It is nothing but a web browser, with which one can access the internet. The Firefox began as an experimental branch of the mozhila codebase by Dave Hyatt, Joo Hewit and Blake Ross. smartphones, tablets and smartphones Firefox OS was called Boot to Gecko (B2G) in the initial development project. PURPOSE OF FIREFOX: Firefox is a web browser that is smaller, faster and in some ways more secure than the Mozhila browser from which much of its code was originally derived. Firefox gives users a cleaner interface and faster download speeds. It known for its speed. Though the Firefox browser needs a lot of memory for operating efficiently. It may limit the multiple tasking of computers. BENEFITS:

Firefox gives you more customisation options than other browsers, including the ability to move features around and install themselves that change the browser's look and feel. You can also customize the toolbars and overflow menu by adding the options you use the most and putting there where you want them. USES: ❖ Firefox is a web browser-a platform, which is used to browse the information via the internet. ❖ When we search for something, a web browser tries to fetch the data from various internet-connector servers. ❖ If a user wants to get information from multiple sources, Firefox provide a better facility of multi-tab tasking where users don't have to lose hold of one information to get access to other information. ❖ Firefox does not record history or cookies used by users which makes it safer and more truthworthy. EDUCATIONAL IMPLEMENTS: It is a place where educators can fine the resources and help necessary to teach open source collaboration and skills for the open web. It is a resource for students who wish to make real world contribution in Mozhila development.

CONCLUSION: Firefox is a web browser to get information using the internetfrom different servers available all around the world. It was introduce around 2002 but was fully released around 2004 and since then it has got a lot of popularity. Firefox consumes more memory but highly efficient and safer over the other browsers.
