Pinergy Smart Business Sales Process – Module 2This document outlines the steps a sales person needs to request a site survey and how to monitor thesurveys progress.1. Customer wants to go ahead with surveyThe smart business tracker document needs to be completed with information that KN need in order tocomplete the survey. A tracker document needs to be created per site. It is important that as muchinformation as possible is entered into this document to support KNs survey.The Smart Business Tracker can be found in Shared Documents/Pinergy Smart Business/Sales/Tracker.It is a web form where the required information can be entered.Only 1 Smart Business Tracker form should be completed per site.+Click on to create a new recordFill in the information as applicable. Fields marked * are required. If the MPRN is unavailable (rare cases),enter 99999999999999 as the MPRN. Up to 2 MPRNs can be filled per Smart Business Tracker form.Sales Process for Pinergy Smart Business V1.0 Module 2 Page 1 of 3

Essential Plant is a site where electricity power is critical e.g. nursing home, freezer units. Provide details in Cricical Needs. Metering requirements should provide sub metering details etc. If more than 2 MPRNs exist in the site, add the MPRN, RM Number, Serial Number and if Essential Plant to Notes. Ask the customer what they would like to see provided and use the available fields to communicate this to KN. Use the Notes field to add as much information as possible to KN. A good example of the level of detail required is “Company ABC occupies 3 floors of an office block on street name. Their energy usage is high. Request to survey the main power incomer and main meter, and examine sub-distribution boards on each floor to assess the potential for sub metering in their canteen, server rooms and office space. “ Click on √ at top right of tracker when complete.When completed, a new Smart Business Tracker record is created in the Smart Business List in the samedirectory on sharepoint. KN will be notified of the new Smart Business Tracker record. They will organisethe survey based on the information.KN will update the Smart Business Tracker with the following information:Date Survey AssignedSurvey Assigned by: (Internal for KN)Survey Assigned to: (Internal for KN)Date Survey CompleteAll Business Requirements met? (Y/N)Reason Why Business Requirements Not MetRecommended Solution – This may require the customer to undertake some remediation workbefore the survey can be completed.Date Method Statement Created – this will be created when survey complete (and remediationwork completed before survey if required) or if an installation is not possible.Recommended Solution – this is the work that is required to be undertaken before the surveycan be completed. The Sales person will need to organise this with the customer.Installation Go-Ahead – Only when this is Yes can the installation take place.Attachments – photos KN might provideNo. of Single Phase Meter – number of single phase meters that will be installedNo. of 3 Phase Meters – number of 3 phase meters that will be installedNext Step Owner – This will show who needs to action something next in order for the survey tobe completed. Note this may say sales person or the sales person's name. This means that thesales person needs to communicate next steps with the customer. When the next steps havebeen completed (by the customer) and KN are required to complete the survey, the salesperson needs to put “KN” into the next step owner.Sales Process for Pinergy Smart Business V1.0 Module 2 Page 2 of 3
