You can buy a good pasta, but when you cook it yourself, it has another feeling.
Air Fryer Salmon For the fastest meal ever, turn to your air fryer. This salmon cooks in just 10 minutes and comes out perfectly tender and flaky on the inside with an amazing top crust. The sweet mustard topping makes this one of our favorite salmon dishes. While your air fryer is out go ahead and make some air fryer potatoes to go with it or even some chocolate chip cookies!
Pasta Alla Gricia Along with carbonara, cacio e pepe, and amatriciana, pasta alla gricia completes the four classic pasta dishes of Rome. It's a classic for good reason: with only four ingredients, it's simple to make, easy to indulge. A key ingredient that is a common sight in Italy but perhaps not in the U.S. is guanciale, cured pork jowl. Fatty yet delicate, rich yet contained, guanciale is cubed into small pieces and rendered until the tiny nuggets turn deeply golden and slightly crunchy on the outside while remaining juicy and ripe with flavor on the inside. The fat that is rendered is then tempered with pasta water and Pecorino cheese to form the basis of the glossy sauce that hugs every noodle.
Baked Chicken Drumsticks Don't be afraid to mix up the marinade on these drumsticks. Use the same marinade as our grilled chicken sandwich, and replace the lemon with lime and add some chili powder. Skip the soy sauce and add a little extra salt and taco seasoning, or go for a sweet bbq profile with bbq sauce, honey Dijon mustard glaze, and a little olive oil to thin it out. Add a little heat with sriracha, chili garlic paste, or your favorite hot sauce. When they're hot out of the oven, pair with an herby chimichurri
Crispy Air Fryer Bacon Cooking bacon in the oven is a classic hack, and a great one. But we’re here to tell you about a new game changer: AIR FRYER BACON. Faster than it takes to preheat the oven and perfect for small batches, the air fryer might make the crispiest bacon of all time without a crazy amount of grease - and no time wasted standing over a hot skillet. You still get all the mesmerizing smells of bacon without too much effort, and that’s something we can get behind. Another pro of air frying bacon rather than baking it: You get those beautiful, curly, crispy strips, whereas oven baked bacon tends to lay flat.
Chia Pudding Cooking with chia seeds might *sound* intimidating, but in reality they couldn't be easier to whip up! Simply add liquid, give it a good stir, and let time do the rest. In just a couple of hours, your seeds will be transformed into creamy, smooth, softly textured pudding.
Easy Pumpkin Cake I really need you to believe us when we say we are obsessed with this cake. It's easily one of our favorite pumpkin desserts and we aren't just saying that. The cake stands tall and proud, actually tastes like pumpkin, and is so fluffy and moist. It's the most addicting fall treat that we crave year round.
Easy Crêpes Crepes are probably our favorite quick and easy sweet breakfast treat. They come together faster than pancakes or waffles, and unlike those two other breakfast treats, crepes are begging to be topped with more than just maple syrup. Fruit, nutella, gruyere cheese and mushroom gravy are just some of the amazing topping options at your finger tips.
Spiced Apple Pancakes There's nothing like a fresh stack of pancakes on a weekend morning, and these may just be our new favorite. Topped with a sticky, cinnamon-scented apple compote, we don't even need maple syrup.
Ultimate Veggie Sandwich Listen I love sandwiches, especially those that have meat in them (see my obsession with the iconic Bacon, Egg, and Cheese). But there's something so special and refreshing about a sandwich that is absolutely packed to the gills with veggies. And this folks, is the ultimate veggie sandwich. Between two slices of bread you will find nine different vegetables packed together in harmony (well technically seven because avocados and tomatoes are fruit but you get what I mean).
Drop Biscuits Biscuits are maybe the best bread \"side\". That's right parker house rolls, you can leave! (Just kidding we love you, parker house rolls. Please don't leave). The flakey, buttery delight of a warm biscuit is so comforting and perfect for a shmear of jam or dipping in gravy. However it can often seem like a ton of effort to whip up a batch.
Pumpkin Zucchini Bread Banana bread is the queen of loaf cakes, sure. And just plain pumpkin bread is truly fantastic. But you know what might be the dark horse in the race to loaf cake royalty? This pumpkin zucchini bread. The zucchini adds a level of moisture and subtle sweet flavor that will make this bread a must-make for your next brunch, Thanksgiving or potluck.
Turkey Carcass Soup Conventional wisdom dictates that to make a great meat stock, you must always add veggies. Not true. We found that simmering the carcass – and the carcass alone – produced a clean, meaty stock that actually tasted of turkey. Add the veggies and herbs later when you are making the soup.
Slow-Cooker Pork Shoulder Pork shoulder comprises two cuts from the foreleg of a hog. The lower half of the foreleg (aka “picnic shoulder”) is leaner than the Boston butt, which is higher up on the foreleg and nowhere near the hog's actual rear! Since pigs use these muscles to walk, they are naturally tougher, and therefore require slow, moist cooking methods to break down.
Rösti The Swiss rösti is essentially the fanciest potato latke you’ll ever eat. In fact, the two dishes are likely culinary cousins. A rösti in its purest form is shredded potato, seasoned with salt and pepper, and pan-fried in clarified butter. This method helps to keep the exterior beautifully crisp while the interior remains buttery.
Turkey Pot Pie This turkey pot pie has a comforting creamy center with an extra-flaky top. Its the perfect little twist on the chicken classic! Use your leftover Thanksgiving turkey and any additional vegetables you have to make this extra-easy. Brushing the crust with heavy cream and sprinkling with flaky sea salt is an absolute must. This will help to get the golden color we look for in a pot pie, and adds a perfect salty finish.
Best-Ever Flan In our opinion, Flan (AKA the classic baked custard often served in Latin America & Spain) never goes out of style. Pour yourself a freshly brewed cup of coffee and dig in to one of the creamiest, most luxurious desserts ever.
Keto Gingerbread Cookies Out of all of our amazing keto desserts (we have a lot), these easy low-carb gingerbread cookies might be the most adorable. Cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg are what make gingerbread taste so nostalgic and Christmas-y. Not carbs.
Cranberry Orange Whiskey Sour We crave cranberry cocktails all winter long and this is our go-to cocktail this holiday season. It's warm and spicy from the whiskey and ginger beer, but refreshing and tart from the cranberry and citrus. The perfect cocktail combo.
Mini Meatball & Pasta Marinara Soup This recipe is super flexible. Anelletti is the preferred pasta cut here for the ultimate nostalgia factor, but any small cut—like elbows or bowties—will do. (If you feel like making it from scratch to invent a brand new signature shape, we've got a classic pasta dough recipe ready for you.) Just know that different cuts of pasta will take different amounts of time to cook to al dente texture, so be sure to keep tasting as you cook to test for doneness.
Thank you!
