We are lookingNikolaus Ryczek (Jr) forward to the start of Regional play to really sur- prise some teams. COACH’S COMMENT:This season has not gone the way everyone had hoped, with missed opportunities and just outright badluck on our side, but that doesn’t take away what these young men have accomplished. We are fightersand have given ourselves a chance to win in almost every contest this year. We have come a long waysince last year and even since the beginning of the season. It speaks a lot about their character. It’s easyto celebrate and show up every day when you’re having a great season, but it’s something else to show uphungry to get better and keep working when you have a down season like we have had thus far, and that’sexactly what they have done. I couldn’t be more proud of the young men they are and have become. BOYS CROSS COUNTRY Head Coach: Chris Peters KEY RUNNERS: Erik Osorio-Cruz (Jr) Abaan Ansari (So) Jayesh Patel (Jr) Jeremy Jarmuz (So) SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: CSL Championships are in mid October and the IHSA Regional meet is the week after that. COACH’S COMMENT: Erik and Abaan are having terrific sea- sons. The hard work they put in this summer is really paying off with some great races.
