Next Step Dance Studio’s Nutcracker Story The Nutcracker Story begins on Christmas Eve at the Stahlbaum home, where little Clara is celebrating the season by welcoming her friends to a pajama party. The girls have brought their favorite dolls with them to share the holiday festivities. However, Clara has chosen to celebrate the holiday with her cherished Nutcracker. After the celebration, the friends take their dolls and leave. It is late. Clara falls asleep holding her Nutcracker. Do you see that? Mice are creeping into the Stahlbaum home. Is this really happening…or is this Clara’s holiday dream? Oh Look. The mice are leaving. Here comes the beautiful Snow Queen. As she dances, Clara comes to join her. My goodness…here come some dancing Angels followed by the lovely Sugar Plum Fairy, who reaches out to invite Clara to join them on a very special journey. They will travel to the Land of the Sweets. How exciting. The Chocolate, Coffee, Tea, Marzipan, Bon Bons, Candy Canes & Dew Drops will each take a turn performing for Clara as they celebrate this special night. What an exciting way to have spent the evening. Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy look thrilled as they wave goodbye to the beautiful dancing sweets. Clara closes her eyes and falls asleep again, holding her Nutcracker close to her heart. Did she really dance with the Snow Queen and the Sugar Plum Fairy? Did she really have an incredible Christmas Eve Journey to the Land of the Sweets??? Or was it all just a beautiful holiday dream???
