Wow what a term this has been! As I sit here writing this message to you all today, I sit and reflect upon all the things that we have managed to do this term. Looking through the photographs, we can see just how much and how varied the curriculum has been for our children to enjoy. All of this against the background of the most virulent phase of COVID19 we have had to face to date. At this minute, we have ten members of staff isolating. All of these require other teachers to cover their classes and do their duties. But still, we continue to provide quality education. The dedication and hard work of our staff team cannot be underestimated. If you get a chance, please do say thank you to a teacher or a member of staff for all their hard work. They really deserve your praise at this difficult time. I have also been impressed with how well our students have coped this term. They have never given up and they have always been happy to come to school. They have worked hard and we are proud of the progress they are making. Some students in Year 11 and Year 12 are facing the most important exams of their lives now, during this most difficult and trying of times. These exams are the culmination of twelve years of schooling. We know that they have been working hard towards getting the best grades they can and we wish them luck. Covid19 continues to dominate our thoughts. We are all looking forward to a time when this dis- ease does not affect our lives so much. Next term, we are planning to open as normal and we hope to have implemented a new risk assessment in line with the MOE that does not negatively impact upon our school as much. As always, we will update you with any changes. I want to thank you all for your care, support and kind words at this most challenging of times. Have a safe and happy Songkran holiday with your family and friends. Mr Calvert

House Competitions We have all been enjoy- ing our House Competi- tions on Wednesday’s organised by Mr Chalk and the Heads of Houses. So far the students have had the chance to partici- pate in the shotput and archery. Congratulations to both Nightingale and Einstein who have both won events.

International Day We all enjoyed dressing up, parading and learning about different countries.

Book Week Thank you for sharing your extreme reading pictures—did you guess which teachers were reading too?

Book Week Who is your favourite book character? We all enjoyed dressing up and showing off our amazing costumes.

Travel and Tourism The students from Y12 who organised the Winter Fair have now donated all the money and goods to their chosen charities. Thank you again for your support of them and the charities. Year 12 Biology Practical science is an important part of the curriculum— the stu- dents enjoyed learning about the structure of the heart with Ms Hall.

We love P.E P.E is an important part of our curriculum as it helps keep us well, fit and healthy. It’s also great fun!

Songkran We had a great time with our Songkran activi- ties including wearing our special shirts and making sandcastles.
