Students Extracurricular and Learning Activities On July 31, 2021, Faculty of Public Health, Thammasat University conducted the Student Orientation in Academic Year 2021 for Master of Science in Health Management, Safety and Environmental Health through the virtual conference with ZOOM meeting. Associate Professor Dr. Sasitorn Taptagaporn, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, delivered welcome remarks and the opening orientation, along with the introduction of the faculty, including course introduction, learning management, and various services by Associate Professor Dr.Sirima Mongkolsomlit. In the afternoon activities, there are sessions of self-management for studying, working, and coordinating with advisors that aim to be able to graduate on time, presented by Assistant Professor Ronnaphum Samakkeekarom and Ajarn Kitravee Jiraratstit. In addition, there is the session “The Alumni Talk: A Review of the Curriculum” to give advice and encouragement by senior students (M.S. in 2022) at the end of the activity. 63

On December 10, 2021, the online seminar of the 6th One Health Lecture Series on Solutions to Global One Health Challenges towards Human Animals and Environmental Health presented by researchers from Virology at Session 1 and Bacteriology at Session 2. At this event, the welcome speech was given by Associate Professor Gasinee Witoonchart Rector, Thammasat University and various speakers. 4. Thammasat’s Faculty of Public Health participated in Thailand Global Health Action Plan. On December 15 to 17, 2021, Professor Dr. Surasak Soonthorn, the representative from Global Health (International Programs), Faculty of Public Health, Thammasat University participated in the 2021 seminar on Thailand Global Health Action Plan 2021 to 2027 organized by the International Affairs Division, Ministry of Public Health to exchange knowledge and experience in global health operations and prepared an annual action plan for the year 2021 under the Global Health Action Plan 2021 to 2027. The seminar had 27 participants from different institutes attend the meeting and qualified speakers from both within and outside the Ministry of Public Health. 73

Pre-programming Introduction On January 5 to 7, 2022, the Faculty of Public Health, Thammasat University organized a Pre-Program Introduction on Microsoft Teams, This activity offered new students a chance to connect with peers, faculty around a specialized topic in active learning, principles and basic knowledge about occupational health and safety, and a case study and presentation. Pre-pro- grams provide students with opportunities to explore the outdoors, engage with social justice topics, enhance leadership skills, broaden scholarly horizons, learn more about themselves, and meet new friends. 74

The Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Academic Cooperation between Thammasat University and Board Members of The National Health Commission Office (NHCO) On February 23, 2022, Thammasat University and the board members of the National Health Commission Office (NHCO) signed a memorandum of understanding on academic cooperation towards developing the potential of academic networks in health impact assessment and knowledge management in the Central-Western Region. There is a scope for cooperation in human resource development, research, and knowledge that will support and promote the implementation of the health impact assessment (HIA) process. 12. Songkran Festival On April 11, 2022, international students participated in the event of the Songkran Festival at the Piyachart Building, 5th floor, room 530, Thammasat University. Songkran, known as the Water Splashing Festival, is an exciting and enchanting time. It is also a time to honor elderly people by making rose and jasmine water, as well as Nam Op-scented water, to wash their parents’ hands. The parents will return the children’s blessings, typically along with a jasmine floral garland. 77

Field Trip for Learning and Visiting the Facilities at the Solid Waste Authority of Thammasat Solid Waste Management Facility On May 21, 2022, the Faculty of Public Health at Thammasat University provided a field trip at the solid waste facility for students to learn first-hand about a subject area, while visiting the facilities at the Solid Waste Authority of Thammasat Solid Waste Management Facility, as part of the Master of Public Health Program in Global Health (MPH-GH) at the Faculty of Public Health (International Programs) at Thammasat University. The purpose is to improve understanding of the TU Solid Waste Management Facility’s Integrated Solid Waste Management System and the necessity of waste reduction. Students participated in a hands-on, interactive lesson at the end of each program to reinforce what they learned during their visit. Congratulations Distinguished Alumni 1. Annual Report 2021 Faculty of Public Health Research and Academic Service Research The Faculty of Public Health, Thammasat University has an important mission to enable excellence in research and innovation that provides research results and public health knowledge on a national and international level. Research and innovation outputs with international quality standards can be continualy developed for sustainable benefits and integrated in public health work and research both in terms of health promotion, environmental and occupational health and safety, and global health with the expectation of solutions for health, social, and environmental problems at the national and international level, especially at the ASEAN level. The Faculty of Public Health has various processes involved in the implementation of research development and potential strengthening for faculty and staff in order to become a leading health institution. Therefore, the Faculty of Public Health Research Fund has been established to support budgets for research and innovation production and promote faculty members to conduct continuous research by organizing a capacity strengthening project for excellence in research and innovation to young and senior researchers, as well as providing capital sources both within and outside the country for research publications in various journals in both national and international databases. 80

Annual Report 2021 Faculty of Public Health Academic Service The Faculty of Public Health at Thammasat University has mis- sions to provide academic services that meet international standards by implementing a policy to promote academic services for society both the government and the business sectors, within and outside corporation networks according to versatile and particular expertise, such as a health promotion for behavioral change, which is the cause of the health problems described by determinants of safety, in order to proceed in accordance with the Ministerial Regulation on Determination of Safety Management System Standards B.E. 2022, for instance, the heat, light, and chemical measurements, consultations in various fields, and environmental health services in laboratory analysis in terms of the quality of water, waste water, tap water, and food quality to meet the standards due to the agency’s requirement from organizations within Thammasat University and industrial factories around Thammasat University. In addition, the model community also belongs to our academic services to empower a healthy community and be a model for other communities. 90
Faculty of Public Health Annual Report 2021 In 2021, the academic service to society leading to a national academic conference on “The New Normal in Aging Society with Sustainable Practices” aims to exchange academic works on the elderly and promote the strength of organizations, partners and networks focused on the issue of the elderly society. The conference had both oral and poster academic presentations and publications on academic articles with the cooperation of seven institutions, including Arsom Silp Institute of the Arts, Community Gerontology Network, Faculty of Education, Kasetsart University, Faculty of Medicine, Srinakharinwirot University, School of Public Health, Walailak University, ThaiHealth Promotion Foundation and Yaoyen Co., Ltd. social enterprise. The Academic Service Center for Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Health (Business Unit) is one of the goals of the Faculty of Public Health, Thammasat University mobilized by the Academic Service Promotion and Center for Safety, Occupational, and Environmental Health Committee (Business Unit) that aims to enforce academic services to society in order to achieve the goals of community well-being. Annual Report 2021 Faculty of Public Health Strategy, Quality Assurance and Finance Quality Assurance Internal Quality Assessment at the Faculty Level in Academic Year 2021. The Faculty of Public Health began using the Educational Quality Criteria for Execution of Excellence (EdPEx) as a framework for improving the quality of organizational management in academic year 2015, and in academic year 2021, the Faculty of Public Health participated in the project to develop the quality of education to excellence: EdPEx200, Class 9, 2021, organized by the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (NHSO), has 119 organizations participating in the project, and the Faculty of Public Health has been selected in the preliminary screening round, which the Faculty of Public Health has also been considered for a site visit from the evaluation committee on Monday, July 25, 2022, by Associate Professor Dr. Nanthana Sirisap (Chairman), Associated Professor Dr. Thanya Subhadrabandhu, Dr.Thitidaj Luetrakul, Assistant Professor Dr. Angkana Boonyued together with the staff from the Office of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation at room no.1023, Piyachart Building, Faculty of Public Health, Thammasat University. 96
