Dictator 101 Kellie Cole

So you want to be a dictator? A dictator is a person that comes to power using fear of manipulation and rules their country on their own and has all the power. A historical example of a dictator is Benito Mussolini who was the dictator of Italy, He promised to find a solution to Italy's economic crisis, and political corruption, and return Italy to the greatness of the Roman empire. A modern day example is Kim Jong-un, dictator of North Korea. He came to power because he is apart of a monarchy that his family has been apart of for years.

Tips & Tricks to Getting Your Power When you manipulate laws, the government, and political parties you will brainwash your people so you can get your way. You will make your citizens believe that you are good and you don't do any bad. A historical example of this is Adolf Hitler, dictator of Germany. He gave children hope and influenced them to fight for their country just as preteens and young adults(13+). A modern day example of this is Vladimir Putin, dictator of Russia. He boosted Russia´s standing on the international stage, but he's been linked to a term to a term to the reign of a tsar.

Tips & Tricks to Getting Your Power Propaganda is information, ideas, and/or rumors deliberately spread to harm a person or place. Propaganda helps keep your citizens from finding out what you are doing bad outside of your country. A historical example of this is Joseph Stalin, dictator of USSR. He used propaganda to raise him as a divine figure and made people believe he was the only leader. A modern day example is Bashar al-Assad, dictator of Syria. Russia used propaganda to say that the war was largely sectarian in nature to make Assad and Putin look like strong leaders.

How to keep your power-step 1 You can censor information from your citizens like keeping them from knowing what is happening outside of your country. If your citizens do not know what you are doing to other countries, they will believe that you are great.A historical example of this is Adolf Hitler, dictator of Germany. A historical example of this is Benito Mussolini, dictator of Italy. He had officers supporting him and his decisions. A modern example of this is Vladimir Putin, dictator of Russia. He recruited officers at young ages and made them think they could do anything they please.

How to keep your power-step 6 You can use propaganda to try and show your citizens that you are a great leader and you are only trying to help them. A historical example of this is Joseph Stalin, dictator of USSR. He used propaganda to help spread the communist party line to other countries. A modern day example of this is Xi Jinping, dictator of China. He used propaganda to sway domestic and international opinions in favor of the Communist party of China's policies.

How to keep your power-step 7 You can use censoring to keep your citizens from seeing what you are doing to outside countries and what those countries are saying about you. You can also use censoring to stop you citizens from seeing anything they can use to harm themselves. A modern day example of this is Vladimir Putin, dictator of Russia. He used censoring to block materials about drug abuse and drug production, suicide methods and child pornography
