Dictator 101 Kellie Cole

So you want to be a dictator? A dictator is a person that comes to power using fear of manipulation and rules their country on their own and has all the power. A historical example of a dictator is Benito Mussolini who was the dictator of Italy, He promised to find a solution to Italy's economic crisis, and political corruption, and return Italy to the greatness of the Roman empire. A modern day example is Kim Jong-un, dictator of North Korea. He came to power because he is apart of a monarchy that his family has been apart of for years.

Tips & Tricks to Getting Your Power When you manipulate laws, the government, and political parties you will brainwash your people so you can get your way. You will make your citizens believe that you are good and you don't do any bad. A historical example of this is Adolf Hitler, dictator of Germany. He gave children hope and influenced them to fight for their country just as preteens and young adults(13+). A modern day example of this is Vladimir Putin, dictator of Russia. He boosted Russia´s standing on the international stage, but he's been linked to a term to a term to the reign of a tsar.

Tips & Tricks to Getting Your Power-Step 2 Propaganda is information, ideas, and/or rumors deliberately spread to harm a person or place. Propaganda helps keep your citizens from finding out what you are doing bad outside of your country. A historical example of this is Joseph Stalin, dictator of USSR. He used propaganda to raise him as a divine figure and made people believe he was the only leader. A modern day example is Bashar al-Assad, dictator of Syria. Russia used propaganda to say that the war was largely sectarian in nature to make Assad and Putin look like strong leaders.

How to keep your power-step 1 You can censor information from your citizens like keeping them from knowing what is happening outside of your country. If your citizens do not know what you are doing to other countries, they will believe that you are great.A historical example of this is Adolf Hitler, dictator of Germany. He burned any books that talked badly about himot had any information about anything bad he did outside of his country.A modern day example of Xi Jinping, dictator of China. He censored Winnie the Pooh for being linked to the character and the letter N for it representing his term in office.

How to keep your power-step 2 You can brainwash children when they are young to make the think you are powerful and you do great things. If you can get the children to think this, you can get those children to pass that down through generations to come. A historical example of this is Benito Mussolini, dictator of Italy. He made it illegal to form youth groups and told people/children that it was not a good idea. A modern day example of this is King Salman and Mohammed bin Salman, dictators of Saudi Arabia. They use automatons and drones to keep watch on their citizens so they know their watching them.

How to keep your power-step 3 You can use political and/or military forces to control a group of people. You can train your militar to be strong enough to be able to control large groups of people. This can help you because if your people see that you can control a larger group of people then they will be convinced that you can control them. A historical example of this is Joseph Stalin, dictator of USSR. Between 1936 and 1938, he either sent millions of innocent Soviets to labor camps or killed them. A modern day example of this is Kim Jong-un, dictator of North Korea. He's been trying to build his army to be able to take over other countries.

How to keep your power-step 4 You can imprison and or torture your enemies to keep them from getting in your way. This could keep them from posing a threat to your power. A historical example of this is Adolf Hitler, dictator of Germany. He found jewish people as enemies and thought that killing and or imprisoning/torturing them would solve his problems. A modern day example is Bashar al-Assad, dictator of Syria. He used atomic bombs on anybody he found as a threat.

How to keep your power-step 5 You can use your military and police to monitor your citizens. They can also control your citizens to follow your laws. A historical example of this is Benito Mussolini, dictator of Italy. He had officers supporting him and his decisions. A modern example of this is Vladimir Putin, dictator of Russia. He recruited officers at young ages and made them think they could do anything they please.

How to keep your power-step 6 You can use propaganda to try and show your citizens that you are a great leader and you are only trying to help them. A historical example of this is Joseph Stalin, dictator of USSR. He used propaganda to help spread the communist party line to other countries. A modern day example of this is Xi Jinping, dictator of China. He used propaganda to sway domestic and international opinions in favor of the Communist party of China's policies.

How to keep your power-step 7 You can use censoring to keep your citizens from seeing what you are doing to outside countries and what those countries are saying about you. You can also use censoring to stop you citizens from seeing anything they can use to harm themselves. A modern day example of this is Vladimir Putin, dictator of Russia. He used censoring to block materials about drug abuse and drug production, suicide methods and child pornography

How to keep your power-step 8 You must have nationalism. This means you have love for your country. You should be able to show your citizens you can take over other countries. You will usually have conflicts with other countries. A historical example of this is Adolf Hitler, dictator of Germany. He was able to kill 11 million people during the Holocaust and sent jews to internment camps. A modern day example is Kim Jong-un, dictator of North Korea. He had met with other world leaders and tried talking to them about how he was feeling about their situation.

How to keep your power-step 9 You can come up with laws that will help you keep your people on the same page. This can help you keep them from doing what you don't want them to do. A historical example of this is Joseph Stalin, dictator of USSR. He used an old list of schonomic goals to make his country the was he wanted. A modern day example of King Salman and Mohammed bin Salman, dictators of Saudi Arabia. They used the Market Manipulation laws as a way to run their country.
