Atal Tinkering Labs are dedicated work spaces where students learn innovation skills and develop ideas that will go on to transform India. Darbari Lal D.A.V. Model School, ND-Block, Pitampura is among 1500 schools selected for setting up of ATL in Round 2. The lab is helping students to ideate, innovate and develop scientific solutions. This collaborative initiative has given a fillip to students to spur imagination and build scientific knowledge. The objective of Atal Tinkering Lab is to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young minds and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc. Young children will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand what, how, and why aspects of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). The lab is beneficial as it : Prepare children for upcoming technological innovations. Impart a greater understanding of concepts. Develop application of knowledge. Instill creativity and innovation. Teach teamwork, collaboration, and communication.
Teaching Robotics to students can increase their ability to be creative and innovative thinkers. Keeping the same objective in mind, Robotics Club was introduced in the school. Students were exposed to LEGO WEDO Kit ,LEGO MindStorm Kit ,Robotronics Kit by Avishkaar Box.The club has been actively involved in providing new avenues to students on Virtual platform. Electronics is an integral part of learning science. Students get an understanding of electrical components and get a chance to perform various tasks hands-on to create various electrical equipments that they use in daily life.
