It is one of the area where it is full of the complete natural resources, suitable for making various types of fish cages, including the Phuket Lobster. Phuket Lobster, is a 7-colored lobster, ranging from the yellow head to the bright green body, pink mustache, white and black stripes cross the body. The lobster’s tentacles has 7 colors, slender and clawless. It is obviously distinct, comparing to the monochromatic Lobster. This is the source of cultivating plants such as Turmeric and Yam. Tumeric is processed/ transformed into turmeric powder for sale, and this high quality turmeric can be sold as their occupation. Yam can also transport to sell in the central market. Currently, Phuket Province has been developed into a tourist city. As a result, the ag- riculture land was transformed to the housing estate at present, and the above-mentioned occupation almost disappeared from the village. From the story of the former abbot of the temple, Luang Por Phan Buddhasaro, seeks a quiet place to practice dharma. and come to the village’s cemetery. So the abbot has been living here since 1959. There is a story that a Chinese named Ai Hae who came to work as a mining cultivator on a hill in the Ma Nik village, have planted vegetables such as Konjac and Bonsai trees for cooking. Phuket Pineapple’s pulp is yellow, less fiber, unique fragrance, and its core is very crispy and eatable. Phuket Pineapple is full of various vitamins and Bromelin enzymes. Phuket Pineapple is a popular provincial fruit of Phuket which everyone who travels to Phuket must taste it as it is the pinnacle of pineapple. As it has a unique identity, geography and farmer’s intellectual, it was registered as a Geographical Indication or GI, which the local people often called this pineapple as “Yanat”. From the villagers’ narration, the sanctity of Luang Pho Phan will cure people by herbal medicine, fortune, careers, and a place for mental development. Former Luang Phor Phan Phuttasaro (Supreme Phan Buddhasaro) was a former abbot who has the ability on the introspective meditation, and expert on curing the various diseases by herbal medicine. There was an initiative to build a monastery from Baan Ma Nik cemetery. Since 1959, the villagers often called Luang Pho Phan as “Por Chao”. Currently, the monastery has been renamed to Wat Thepwanaram by having (Phra Khru) Provost Phrom Praphasorn, the primate of Thalang District as the abbot of Wat Manik. There is a forest area which is opened for villagers to make their living by occupying 25 rai per family. It is divided into 2 zones which are the Islamic zone and the Buddhist zone.
