ABOUT US Lili Inti is a luxury handbag brand with one extraordinary difference. Each Lili Inti bag is meticulously handcrafted from Slovenian corn husk over two days by a skilled local artisan, using knowledge passed down through generations. Every woven husk is an undeniable artwork and intrinsically unique. After the exquisite weaving all bags are finished by hand with the finest calf leather in Spain and Italy. Lili Inti was founded by TV personality Lili Žagar in order to honour Slovenian heritage of corn husk weaving while simultaneously create a bag collection for the feminine style-setter who appreciates the luxury of traditional craftsmanship yet also desires a bold, modern aesthetic. Throughout history, native peoples have been crafting items from the outer leaves of home- grown corn – braided, woven, or twined. Lili Inti carries this time- honoured practice into the 21st century, keeping a noble tradition alive. 5

FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Communications, Lili Žagar launched a successful career as a television presenter. Despite enjoying TV’s bright lights, she has always dreamed of leaving her footprint in the world of fashion. The object of her affection was her grandmother’s basket, expertly woven from beautiful corn husk. When she gifted her the basket, it was 40 years old and had lived many lives. With a passion for everything vintage, Lili immediately fell in love with the basket’s awe-inspiring weaving and endless durability. She was immediately seduced by a calling – to develop a stylish collection of handbags that was quintessentially European yet enticingly cosmopolitan. Her vision was to redesign that cherished basket, but update it for the modern woman. Lili Inti is her little style gift to the world, a ‘Jane Birkin’ for the 21st century. 6

CRAFTSMANSHIP Lili Inti handbags are made from ripened corn husks, grown and harvested in the undulating fields of Slovenia, EU. In springtime local farmers sow the crop and in autumn every ear is hand-plucked. After hulling, the valuable husk is dried and stored, ready for artisan weavers to fashion each handbag. It takes up to two days in total to interlace a Lili Inti handbag. Local artisans carry on Slovenia’s time-honoured tradition of weaving, which is a disappearing trade. By working directly with local craftspeople, Lili Inti keeps Slovenian heritage and culture alive. 9
