The project works with TVET institutions to deliver sustainable and modern construction education to close the skills gap in the infrastructure industry. NIGERIA Empowering educators: How Teach for Nigeria is improving education In partnership with Teach For Nigeria (TFN), we sponsor STEM teacher recruitment, professional development, and placement in underserved schools in Lagos. So far, TFN has recruited, trained, and placed 9 fellows in low-income communities in Lagos state. These fellows were supported to be effective STEM teachers, improving the learning outcomes of children in these communities. SOUTH AFRICA Empowering ability: Workplace inclusion and increasing employability of differently abled people We partnered with Training and Empowerment Academy (TEA) to provide tuition to 33 students with disabilities. Students increased their competences in Microsoft office applications, business and finance management. Seven students are already participating in the job market. 10
