Jamie was formerly a junior at Pannal Sports and Rotherham United. Jack Powis (Defence): Joined several years ago having been a junior at Harrogate Town. After a run at full back in 2017-18, Jack returned to the side during the past two campaigns. Craig Hall (Defence): Craig was a youth player Guiseley before joining Kirk Deighton Rangers for senior football. Switched to Manse Lane in October 2020 and made his first appearances just before the pandemic stopped all football. Gregg Anderson (Defence): Summer 2017 signing. Gregg played at Harrogate Railway Under 19’s and 21’s before breaking through to the first team. Moved to Tadcaster Albion and Clitheroe before being sold to Buxton. Moved to AFC Halifax and then North Ferriby before moving back to Clitheroe and then Tadcaster before joining the team at Manse Lane, where he has helped with the coaching as well as his playing responsibilities. Sam Cook (Defence): Sam played for Harrogate Railway through the junior ranks before breaking through to the senior side. Joined Knaresborough as his chances at Station View were limited, but joined Thackley for the same reason. Returned in early 2016, and quickly broke back into the first team. Greg Kidd (Defence): Joined from Harrogate Railway in the summer of 2017 after five years at Station View. Greg was at Oldham Athletic as a junior before breaking into the senior ranks at Railway. Prefers left back, but has operated all along the left flank. Phil Milsom (Defence/Midfield): Left-sided player, Phil arrived from Boroughbridge in late 2019 and has now become a regular at left back having started further forward. Previously turned out for Pannal Sports and Harrogate Town youth sides before switching to Wetherby Athletic at Open Age. Ben Parkes (Midfield): Ben played at Harrogate Railway as a junior before linking with the Knaresborough Town junior team at Under 18’s. Was a part of the side in the first season in the Northern Counties East League before picking up a bad injury which kept him out for over a year. Ewan Gregson (Midfield): Formerly in the junior ranks at Doncaster Rovers, Ewan joined Knaresborough in the summer after a spell at Wakefield. Was recommended to the club by Simon Clifford with whom he had worked in the Brazilian style football coaching. Tom Rose (Midfield): Summer signing formerly with Eccleshill United. Cameron Bedford (Midfield/Defence): Cameron signed at the start of the 2020-21 season and is currently duel registered with Tadcaster Albion. Another former Pannal Sports junior, Cameron is currently playing regularly at York College in the i2i Academy. Mark Simpson (Forward): Recent signing from Silsden.

www.afcmansfield.net | PAGE 19PLAYER PROFILES Brad Walker (Forward): Ex-Harrogate Town junior, Brad made his breakthrough following scoring a string of goals for the reserves in the West Yorkshire League. Played at Railway all through the junior ranks before spending three years in the Harrogate Town academy and switching to senior level at Manse Lane seven seasons ago. Sean Hunter (Forward): Sean joined Knaresborough in the summer after his father, Rob, was appointed manager. A junior at Harrogate Railway and York City, Sean went on to senior football at Garforth Town, Railway and, last season, at Campion. Calum Ward (Forward): Summer 2020 signing having played at AFC Emley the year before and previously at Tadcaster Albion and Garforth Town. Jack Carr (Forward/Midfield): Jack became a regular member of the squad during last season after occasional games in the past few years. Plays wide or through the middle and has grabbed some useful goals. Tom Dugdale (Forward/Midfield): Tom joined the club in the summer of 2019, but injury held up his debut until January 2020. Originally a junior at Sheffield Wednesday, Tom has a long catalogue of previous clubs including Frickley, Brighouse Town and most recently, Eccleshill United. Mitch Hamilton (Forward/Midfield): Mitch scored eighteen goals in his only previous campaign at Manse Lane (2014-15) before spells at Pickering Town, Garforth Town and Liversedge. Had previously been a junior at Leeds for six years before graduating to senior football at Tadcaster Albion. Craig Ramplin (Midfield): Craig progressed from the junior ranks at both Railway and Knaresborough to reach the seniors at both clubs before dropping away from football after a two year spell in Australia. Returned to Manse Lane just before Covid brought a stop to football last season. Rob Hunter (Manager): A player for many years in the Harrogate area, Rob has managed or assisted for many more years. Spells have taken him in various roles to Hatfield Main, Bardsey, Harrogate Railway, Tadcaster Albion, Harrogate Town, Glasshoughton Welfare, Garforth Town (for five seasons). Additionally, Rob did play briefly at Manse Lane in 1993-94 and helped coach the side in 2012-13. Simon Parkes (Assistant Manager): Played at Railway for many years before switching to Manse Lane in 2016 where he became a regular member of the team until a series of injuries brought a halt to his playing career. Has joined Rob this summer to take charge of the squad. Colin Heath (Forward/Coach): Colin first joined the club nearly ten years ago. Formerly a junior at Leeds United and Manchester United, he spent time on loan at Royal Antwerp, Swindon Town and Cambridge United. After being released by the Reds, Colin played for Chesterfield and Macclesfield before crossing to Farsley Celtic. Hit his 100th goal for the club in early 2018. Matthew MacLennan (Physio/Goalkeeper coach): A junior player at Bradford City, Leeds United and Burnley, Matthew has coached at junior level and helped goalkeepers achieve placements with some professional outfits. Joined in the summer, and continues to work closely with the custodians.
