Umiiyak na sumagot si Baboy-ramo. “Mahal na Inang Kalikasan, ikinalulungkot ko pong ipaalam sa inyo na unti-unti na po kaming nauubos.” “Kami rin po ay nagiging kaunti dahil wala na kaming maitlogan,” sagot ng mga Ibon. 13

Naglalakihang mga pabrika at halos hindi na siya makahinga dahil sa kapal ng usok nito at nagkalat pa ang mga basura sa lansangan. 16

Bigla na lamang dumilim ang paligid, kumulog, kumidlat at bumuhos ang malakas na ulan na may dalang malakas na hangin. 17

Nagkalat ang mga basura mula sa ilog at dagat, nakahilera ang mga troso sa daan, marami pang mga hayop ang nawawala, at wala na ring mga halaman na puwedeng kainin ng mga tao at hayop. 20

Noon lamang nila nalaman na ang lahat ng masasamang bagay na kanilang ginawa sa kapaligiran ay bumabalik din sa kanila. 21

Abala na sila sa paglilinis ng kanilang kapaligiran at ilog, pagtatanim ng mga puno at pag-aalaga ng mga hayop. 22

First Edition, 2020. Iniiwasan na rin nila ang pagputol ng mga puno sa kagubatan, pagtapon ng mga basura sa ilog at panghuhuli ng mga ligaw na hayop sa gubat. Mula noon, masaya nang naninirahan ang mga tao sa kanilang lugar. Naging maingat na sila sa kanilang kapaligiran at inaalagaan na rin nila ang kalikasan. 23

First Edition, 2020. About the Authors Si Kathryn A. Micu ay 23 na taong gulang tubong Bal-ason, Gingoog City. Siya ay nagtapos sa kursong Bachelor in Elementary Education medyor sa Special Education sa Ateneo de Cagayan Xavier University, Cagayan de Oro City taong 2014. Kasalukuyang siyang nagtuturo sa Kindergarten at Grade 1 sa Gingoog City Division ng halos tatlong taon bilang Teacher-I. Si Sherlita A. Guno ay 48 taong gulang na kasalukuyang nagtuturo sa ikalawang baitang sa mababang paaralan ng Sta. Rita Sangay ng Lungsod ng Gingoog. Nagtapos siyasa kursong Bachelor in Elementary Education noong Labin- dalawang taon na siyang nagtuturo sa mga pampublikong paaralan bilang guro sa Filipino. Si Genivy A. Guno ay 27 taong gulang at limang taon na sa pagtuturo sa pampublikong paaralan. Nagtapos siya sa kursong Bachelor in Elementary Education medyor sa Early Childhood Education. Kasalukuyang siyang nagtuturo sa mababang paaralan ng Don Restituto Baol Central School bilang guro sa Kindergarten.
