SSRVM Magazine Bangalore East E June 2021 Parents’ Corner Parents’ Feedback Thanks for the initiative and conducting the Orientation session for11th Grade Students and Parents. The session was really wonderful and gave us lot of insights on what goes on; in the minds of Students and how to deal with it. And also how to prepare ourselves for the next two years journey. Be it food/sleep/study time/health. Your vast knowledge did not leave anything that needs attention from parents that will help students in their academics and personal growth as well. Also narrating through the stories makes it more effective, that was amazing skill. While we are a cautious parent and aware of most of things and do the right way, but still few things that I noted down from the session are ¤Both Parents and Students, avoid gadgets and social media. ¤Story on how the mind can drift and take things easy and end up in losing on precious time. Moral, we learnt that take 11th and every test/exam with equal importance and give your 100%. ¤Suggesting students to allow their parents to check on them once in a while. Like allowing parents to come into their study room. More than inspection it is to make sure they do not drift and be focused on studies. ¤Since our son is into coding and development etc, we thought it was ok to spend some time on it. But you explained so well that it is fine to spend some time on extra curricular activities keeping in mind that students should not get drifted away from their academics for these two years. They should not get addicted to anything else which makes them lose their focus. Quite useful and productive session, like us I am sure all the Students and Parents had some take away from it.
