DECCAN SPRINGS GLOBAL SCHOOL eMAGAZINE - JULY 2023 Pre-Primary Recitation Competition Recitation activities help students to build confidence as they learn to speak more accurately. Keeping this in mind, Rhyme Recitation Activity was organized for grades Nursery LKG & UKG. Children astonished everyone with their voice modulation and amazing memorizing skills and pleasing performances. Pre-Primary Green Day During the Green Day celebration, children adorned themselves in vibrant green attire and showcased their green-themed outfits. They brought various green objects. A heartwarming highlight of the event was the planting of saplings. Overall, the Green Day celebration was a joyful and educational experience that instilled important values in the children. 1

DECCAN SPRINGS GLOBAL SCHOOL eMAGAZINE - JULY 2023 Pre-Primary Body Parts WORD CARD ACTIVITY Children have a logical, practical need to know about the concept of body parts Introduce body parts vocabulary with fun chant! Students learnt about different parts of the body through movement and begin to understand how body parts help us. Pre-Primary Consonant-Vowels-Consonant WORD BUILDING CVC word is a word made up of 3 letters - a consonant, then a vowel, and then another consonant. This activity helps the learners to build a words by using phonics sounds and to build confidence for beginning readers! 2

DECCAN SPRINGS GLOBAL SCHOOL eMAGAZINE - JULY 2023 Pre-Primary Fun with Strokes Strokes activities help the learners to make a house using popsicle sticks that combines learning in a play way method to develop their fine motor skills. Pre-Primary Number and Counting ACTIVITY These hand on learning activities were to inspire and engage young learners to count and practice number recognition 1 to 5. 3

DECCAN SPRINGS GLOBAL SCHOOL eMAGAZINE - JULY 2023 Pre-Primary Letter ‘A’ Activity Letter ‘A’ activity was introduced to work on tracing the letter and identifying objects/ image start with letter ‘A’ (Alligator). Children had great fun learning about letter and its sound. Doctors Day To acknowledge the contribution and to honour our saviours effort. National Doctor's Day was celebrated by students of Grades 1 and 2 played role of doctor very well. They talked about doctors kit, healthy habits, personal hygiene etc.. Through this activity child learns importance of health care. 4

DECCAN SPRINGS GLOBAL SCHOOL eMAGAZINE - JULY 2023 Van Mahotsav The Van mahotsav activity at Deccan Spring Global School was a resounding success bringing together the School Community to celebrate and contribute to the conservation of our natural environment This year various activities took place in the school such as skit followed by speech with beautiful and graceful dance performances by students with poem presentations given by the students to make the event memorable. Bonalu Bonalu festival is celebrated every year at Deccan Spings Global School where girl student brought the fully decorated traditional Bonam after draping themselves in saree reflecting the true Telangana. Culture while the boys are seen in Pothuraju at time adding colours to the festivities 5

Outdoor Activity Basketball Deccan springs Global School organized basketball match which was resounding success showcasing the dedication talent and teamwork of our school basketball teams the students learnt skills like spatial awareness,hand eye coordination ,strategic thinking and this basketball match lead to overall development of the students. 7

DECCAN SPRINGS GLOBAL SCHOOL eMAGAZINE - JULY 2023 Investiture Ceremony DSGS celebrated Investiture Ceremony of the newly elected prefectorial board of Deccan Springs Global School, Nacharam for the academic year 2023-24 with great enthusiasm. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by Principal Ms. Suma Menon addressing the gathering said that the school has always aligned its curriculum with the values of life and focussed on inculcating a repertoire of skills in students and shed light on the stringent process of student council elections and advised to work with a spirit of unity in the interest of students at large. Chief of Academics Dr. Pavan K Samba said that the school has never compromised in providing quality education to students and kept learning in continuation even during critical times. Chief guests Mr. Brigadier E.Govind and Ms. Smitha Govind, conveyed his best wishes to the prefects and encouraged them to perform their duties to the best of their abilities. The elected appointees were invested with their designations, as the proud parents and teachers cheered on. Student council members took the oath to hold the school motto. The energetic fusion dances and song, presented by the students, which spell bound the audience and enhanced the vibrance of the event.The speeches by the head girl Dyuthu Sattu, enthralled the audience. The vote of thanks was delivered by the Challa Vaarun Maruthi. 8
