Shibari ismeditation!In Japanese, SHIBARI 縛り means ‘to bind or ‘to tie.’ Itis a reflection of trust and intimacy through the mediumof rope. Tying and being tied is a physical interactionbetween two people where one is leading and the other isfollowing, but both moving together.My work aims to translate this ancient Japanese artisticform of rope bondage.
