GROUP CLASSESWHAT IS A GROUP CLASS?Group classes (generally a maximum of 5students) are highly recommended for allstudents where time permits, as theinteraction with fellow students and theability to learn from others will enhance yourexperience. WEEKEND FLUENCYIn our experience, we have come across manyforeign students who have learnt Mandarinbefore, many of whom can both read andwrite to a relatively high level or have evenpassed HSK Level 3 or Level 4! However,despite all this study, they still struggle withtheir speaking skills.These students find that although they canstring Chinese sentences together (eventually), it takes them way too long. This

becomes especially evident when they are trying to talk to a native speaker,where they find the pressure of a conversation in real life all too much to bear!In order to help students speak out loud and confidently in Mandarin, we havetherefore developed a new program at Inspiration Mandarin that we call“Weekend Fluency”. PRONUNCIATION CORRECTIONIn our experience, many foreignstudents have great difficulty inpronouncing words, particularly in theearly stages. Mandarin is a ‘tonal’language, with four distinct tones (flattone, rising tone, falling-rising tone andfalling tone). This means that theparticular emphasis that you put on aword can change its meaning, even ifthe syntax is the same. CULTURAL WORKSHOPSIn order to provide a more complete cultural experience, we offer a variety ofactivities in addition to Mandarinlanguage teaching. Pricing OptionsAll pricing options assume 2 participants. However, further participants canjoin any of the sessions at no extra charge.Option A – Pay per Session RMB 500 per hourEach session is for 2 hours in length. This option allows the participants tochoose up to 10 courses at which point a discount applies. See Option B.Total cost of each 2 hour session = RMB 500 x 2 hours = RMB 1,000.Option B – 10 Session Package RMB 440 per hourEach session is for 2 hours in length. However, Option B will see the participantreceive a discount compared to the hourly rate in Option A if 10 sessions arebooked and paid for in advance.Total cost of a 10 session package is RMB 440 x 2 hours per session x 10 sessions= RMB 8,800.
