ELEMENTS OF ART:
ELEMENTS OF ART: HOW ARE FORMS DEFINED IN THE ASPECT OF ART? Forms are three-dimensional objects that enclose volume in terms of art. These dimensions are classified into three categories: length, width, and depth. Forms are formed by combining two or more shapes; three-dimensional shapes such as cubes, pyramids, spheres, and so on. Tone, texture, and color are commonly used to enhance this type of element in art. Forms are commonly found in works of art such as sculpture, figurines, pottery, architecture, and theater play. It also refers to the visual elements of an artwork that are distinct from its subject matter. Forms are one of the visual art elements that refer to how a shape or physical configuration occupies space. WHAT ARE THE TWO TYPES OF FORMS? Forms are classified into two types: \"Geometric forms\" and \"Organic forms.\" Geometric forms, which are typically man-made, have specific names associated with them. They are mathematically consistent shapes that are precise, regular, angular, and geometric. Organic forms, also known as biomorphic forms, are those that do not have specific names and are frequently associated with naturally occurring forms. They are organic, irregular shapes that are frequently asymmetrical, free-form, or curved.
ELEMENTS OF ART: HOW ARE FORMS CREATED IN ART? The main goal of drawing or illustrating representationally is to create the illusion of the form. Understanding how light reacts to a specific object allows us to create the illusion of form. Light reacts to objects and communicates with viewers through a variety of means. Adjusting these areas with color values creates the illusion of form in a drawing or painting. In order for forms to be properly illustrated, the highlight, mid-tone, core shadow, and cast shadow are important factors to consider when creating them. WHY ARE 'FORMS' MY CHOSEN TOPIC? I chose forms over all the other elements of art because this was the topic that piqued my interest the most and kept it there. I realized that our environment is filled with forms all around us, and being able to learn more about it made me feel that we should value this aspect of art more than what we actually do. Without them, our world would be very different from what it is now. It, like any other aspect of art, plays an important role in our lives and makes the world a more enjoyable place to live. Forms are a lot of fun to make and experiment with!
