A False Reality - Images From NASA

What value or benefit do we gain from NASAs missions? We take a hard look at the images we receive fromNASA which we based much of our space science research on and how we should proceed based upon thatinformation and what value that information provides the scientific community. We examine space missions,both manned and unmanned, the Hubble Telescope, the Orion, raw footage from Nasa missions and theimages NASA releases to the public.“The important point to remember from this activity is that scientific ideas develop over time based on theaccumulation of verifiable evidence. New pieces of evidence may contradict a previous theory, whilesupporting an alternative idea. Each new piece of evidence adds to the body of scientific knowledge. The first image I came across when I began my research (figure 1) is described by Nasa as the “first view ofthe entire sunlit side of Earth from one million miles away….” and they used three other images to create it.(NASA, July 2015) July 20, 2015 “A NASA camera on the Deep Space Climate Observatory satellite has returned its first view of the entire sunlit side of Earth from one million miles away. This color image of Earth was taken by NASA’s Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC), a four megapixel CCD camera and telescope. December 1966 In December of 1966, NASA captured this image (figure 5) of the earth and moon together using the explorer satellite. The moon can be seen at the top, just right of center. The size of the moon compared to the size of the earth is astonishing and contradicts the images we see in figures 3 and 4. Can this be true? Every picture I have ever seen of earth is a perfect sphere. None of the globes in early education have changed to reflect either an oblate spheroid or a pear shaped earth. The image of the sphere is provided to us by NASA experts and as recent as July 2015 as seen in (figure 1). The same people whom we trust to provide us with true and accurate information, for the billions of dollars we give them every year, are providing us false illusions? What is the truth? Are images and videos we receive from Nasa and our Education system real? Hubble TelescopeI began to question the equipment being usedafter learning the images, descriptions and videosprovided by NASA do not match what we see andwhat we are being told. I looked for information onthe most famous telescope we have, The HubbleTelescope. My first question I wanted Hubble totell me was why it cannot turn towards Earth andtake a picture of the entire planet? Why are wegetting composite images?While I was searching for an answer I found aninterview between a grad student and NicholasVeronico of the Sophia Science Center located atthe Ames Research Center in Moffett Field,California. The moon is 238,855 miles from Earth. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin would have passed through the VanAllen Belts twice going to the moon and back. The belts begin at 400 miles above earth’s surface andstretches out 36,000 miles. How did they survive 36,000 miles of radiation that no humans can live throughusing 1969 technology and a computer that had a 32 gigabytes hard drive to control everything yet today wecannot use that same technology?
