You can add an alias number so that the variable can be read or written to. Printing the Tri-GP Module Configuration Once Tri-GP controller configuration is complete, you may want to print the module configuration information. Participant Guide Tri-GP Controller Configuration Lab 23 : Exploring Tri-GP System and Module Attributes Introduction In this lab, you will use the system and module attributes and how to add an alias number that the variable can be read or written to. Objectives 34. After completing this lab, you will be able to: • Specify an alias number for a Tri-GP attribute. • Print the Tri-GP Module Configuration. Lab Procedure Specify an Alias Number for a Tri-GP Attribute Use the following steps to specify an alias number for a system or module attribute, which allows you to read or write to the attribute. 1. Expand the Controller tree, and then double-click Configuration. 2. Expand Status Attributes, and then double-click the attribute to be assigned an alias. The Item Properties dialog box appears. 3. Click Get Default, or enter a number for the Modbus Alias, and then click Confirm Alias. The alias number is assigned to the attribute. Print the Tri-GP Module Configuration 4. Open the Project Workspace. 5. On the File menu, click Print All. Check the check boxes for the following documents: − Hardware Module Configuration  Prints a report listing the controller hardware (MPs, CMs, I/O modules) currently configured in the project. − Module Configuration Settings − Prints a report listing the current configuration settings for each applicable module in the project’s hardware configuration. Only modules that require configuration in TriStation 1131 are included in this report. For example, CM configuration details are included, but the AI module is not, as it does not require configuration in TriStation 1131. Note: To clear the check boxes quickly for all the documents in the list, and make it easier to select only those documents you want to print, clear the Select All check box. 7. Click OK. The Print dialog box appears. 8.
