French Mon emploi de temps Creating a class schedule in French was such a fun activity for the French stu- dents. The students showed utmost enthusiasm in learning the names of the sub- jects in French. The students made their own choice of subjects in a day thereby improving their planning skills and also inculcating the value of commitment to- wards the schedule.

Flow Chart – Teaching and Learning Strategy “What people need and what they want may be very different. Teachers are those who educate the people to appreciate the things they need”. Elbert Hubbard Flow charts are one type of graphic organizer where students’ thinking can be made visible. Flowcharts are better way of com- municating the logic of a system to all concerned. The old saying “a picture is worth a thousand words” holds true for flowcharts. It is easier to explain the logic through the flowchart rather. With the help of flowchart, problem can be analysed in more effective. The students of grade 5 designed a Flow chart that visually represent textual relationship. The students described a sequence of events in a systematic manner. Creating a It helped students to think and reflect on their thinking.

Math and Social science - Cross curriculum Cross-curricular learning which is also called interdisciplinary learning is a teaching strategy that allows educators to unite concepts and skills from vari- ous disciplines. Cross-curricular learning can increase students' motivation for learning and their level of engagement. In contrast to learning skills in isolation, when stu- dents participate in interdisciplinary experiences, they see the value of what they are learning and become more actively engaged. Students of grade 5 have learned to find the time interval. They have applied the concept in finding time interval between different time zones. It would help them to revisit the concept of Time zones and places in different continents that they have already learned in social studies and identified that the time is showing different at different places.

Puzzles are an important educational learning tool for young children as they provide many skills and mental learning benefits and opportunities. Over- coming the challenges involved in solving puzzles gives children a sense of pride and self-esteem. Solving puzzles helps reinforce existing connections between our brain cells. Solving puzzles help youngsters in developing better problem-solving skills and improved visual-spatial reasoning. Students were given opportunity to solve a puzzle related with the topic – The Moon. This helped them to recap what they have learnt from the class and gain some new information about the features of the moon.

VISION 2021 The Emirati Government has set a national agenda whose aims cover many fields. The final and comprehensive goal of this vision is to give the United Arab Emirates the status of one of the best countries in the world by 2021—the nation’s Golden Jubilee Year. More than 300 UAE officials, men and women, from 90 local and federal governmental institutions, have worked on developing the national agenda, which has been subdivided into six national axes representing the main sectors, which will be the main fo- cus of the government: Education, Health, Economy, Police and Security, Housing, and Infrastructure and Government Services. The goals in the UAE vision 2021 could be compared with other development plans in the Mid- dle East.
