‘Going out and experiencing real things makes learning enjoyable’. Field visit for students reinforces what a teacher has been explaining in class about various concepts and helps students understand the topic better. It gives students educational experiences away from their regular school environment . The purpose of field trips are important to bridge the gap between classroom education and hands on experience. Field trips particularly for school students can answer the question of how learning can be applied in life. Dunes International School has or- ganised a field visit to the students of grade 3 to 5 on 9th January 2020. Students visited a farm at Shahama . The main objective of conducting a field trip for students is to reinforce experiential and contextual learning. The students achieved a higher level of critical thinking when they evaluated their own learning compared with what they are exposed to, and they were able to modify their knowledge based on their personal experiences.

Foster values in children \"There are little eyes upon you and they're watching night and day. There are little ears that quickly take in every word you say. There are little hands all eager to do everything you do. And a little child who's dreaming of the day he'll be like you.\" What are values and why do we need them? They are cherished beliefs and standards for right and wrong. They provide direction and meaning to life. Values inspire constructive behaviour. How can you instill values in your child?  Read and discuss stories that support your beliefs.  Monitor your child's media exposure that can undermine parental influ- ence and the development of moral standards for behaviour.  Share your approval when praiseworthy behaviour is portrayed in the me- dia and/or in real life, and discuss your displeasure when corrupt behav- iour is displayed.  Be polite and considerate toward others.  Do what you say you will do.  Share your time, talents and possessions.  Set goals and complete difficult tasks.  Display warmth, support, encouragement, and consistency toward your child.  Set high but reasonable standards for your child's behaviour  Listen respectfully to your child's ideas and feelings.  Answer your child's questions.  Offer your child choices.  Take time to have fun with your child. For example, play games, read, pre- tend, look at family photos, share dreams, attend events, participate in sports or hobbies, or volunteer for worthy causes.  Divide chores and work together on family projects.  Remember that your child will adopt the values you demonstrate daily.
