NIGHT UNDER THE STARS (NUTS) Out door experience aims at developing caring and sharing , self esteem, independence and responsibility in the children through a variety of activities. Dunes International School organized “NIGHT UNDER THE STARS”, a camping experience for girls from grade 5 to 12 on 24th October 2019. This helped to strengthen the bond of friendship among students.

DUNES EXPO 2020 EXPLORE OPPORTUNITIES The main objectives of organiz- ing Science exhibitions are: pro- moting interest in Science and Tech- nology among younger generation, encouraging scientific and techno- logical creativity among students and inculcating a sense of pride in their talent. Secondary students of Dunes inter- national school participated in “DUNES EXPO 2020 EX- PLORE OPPORTUNITIES\". An exhibition thematically based on future endeavors, future jobs , the future schools, future mobility and the future life style. It was a proud moment to recognize the future scientist of the nation. Their experiments represent the future of the nation. They brought their ideas to life through crafts- manship.

ASSEMBLY INCREDIBLE INDIA India where culture echoes, tradition speaks, beauty enthralls and diversity de- lights is a kaleidoscope of landscapes, magnificent historical sites ,royal cities, misty mountain retrials colorful people, rich culture and festivities. Students of grade 5 G1 tasked with repre- senting the unique facts of India through their power point presentation which generated an urge in students to know more about their own country and its culture.

“Make a difference in your world. Reduce Reuse Recycle” Grade5 students were doing activity to reuse of old new papers. They brought old newspaper and done collage work and told the use of old newspaper. Using an old newspaper to clean windows works better than a cloth for prevent- ing streaks. For even better results, use vinegar -and-water solution instead of a chemical cleaner. Reuse old papers to line your cabinet, dresser, pantry or bathroom shelves. They have done activity in groups. All are able to complete their given task.

ASSET PRACTICE ASSET is a skill based test that measures stu- dent’s conceptual understanding, benchmarks school’s performance at an international, na- tional & regional level with actionable insights through easy-to-understand reports. The objective of the ASSET test is to provide in- sights to parents and teachers about a student's grasp over academic concepts and highlight their strengths and weaknesses. Keeping in mind ‘Practice makes a man perfect” students of grade 5 were given opportunity to discuss in groups ASSET question bank. Stu- dents were eager to find the apt answers to the questions and they were able to justify their answers. This helped to build self-confidence in the students.

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” Morning assemblies are a very important part in a stu- dent’s life. Students learn actions to go along with the song, which gives a sense of happiness and excitement to start the day. Singing boosts confidence and dancing keeps one active and fit.

MATHEMATICS MATH IS FUN MULTIPLICATION Learning Math helps us to think critically, solve problems in daily life. Students need more practice in solving the sums by doing it every- day. Solving the sums through games , puzzles will help them to create more interest in Math. If they are learning the concept in a fun way, they will never forget it. Students were solving multiplication sums through game way as per the given instructions to find the date of birth of their friends. So each one did the calcula- tions with accuracy and were able to identify the date of birth from the product obtained.

ENGLISH The World of imagination is boundless. A poster is any piece of printed paper designed to be attached to a wall or vertical surface. Typically, posters include both textual and graphic elements, although a poster may be either wholly graphical or wholly text. Posters are designed to be both eye catching and informative. The objectives of Mov- ie Poster Making was to develop students’ interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. To gain application, analysis, and synthesis skills. To think out of the box and to inculcate the idea in the most effective way. The students were asked to imagine that their book is turned into a movie and were asked to create a detailed poster that showed the detailed plot, the setting and a major character. The stu- dents of Grade 5 participated with immense zeal and enthusiasm and made very beautiful posters. This activity kept the student engaged and offered them a platform to showcase their skills. It in- spired them to think and work creatively in order to promote artistic excellence.

Art competition The aim of the drawing competition is to en- gage children in a creative exercise to identify their hopes and dreams of the future. It al- lows complete self expression and supports their creativity and innovative ideas ex- pressed through art.

Year of Tolerance We are all unique and have something valuable to offer and share. The Ghaf tree was chosen as a symbol of the Year of Tolerance because of the great significance that the tree bears as an indigenous tree. It is associated with popular and environmental heritage. It is a symbol of the stability of the desert and a witness to old customs. The Year of Tolerance will focus on five main pillars:  to deepen the values of tolerance and co-existence among cultures by teaching the youth the values of tolerance  to solidify the UAE as the global capital for tolerance through a series of initiatives, projects and dialogues between various cultures and civilizations  to implement multiple cultural programs and make contributions to build tolerant communities  to focus on legislative and policy-oriented objectives that contribute to mandating cul- tural and religious tolerance via dialogue  to promote tolerance through targeted media initiatives and projects.
