EDITOR’S NOTE Late nights catching MWC, and March-ing into GST T here goes the Lunar Chinese New Year, gone in the blink of an eye. As March rolls in, some of us quake in anticipation as the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 promises to unveil tonnes of new gadgets, while others are dreading the inevitable start of the Goods & Services Tax (GST) implementation. Though we won’t be able to cover MWC since it starts from 2 to 6 March, you’ll be able to read our coverage on the many sweet new toys in our April 2015 issue. We do have a cover story on GST, or at least a summary on the topic; unfortunately, many of those we’ve reached out to have decided to withhold comments till after the actual implementation. But do read up on our piece, especially if you haven’t been keeping up with the news on the subject (shame on you!) How does GST effect the ICT industry? With the increasing popularity of ultra-portable computers, we also decided to take a look at some of the more recent models and how they compare. You’ll see both detachable PCs with keyboards that dock, as well as the popular 360-degree convertibles. If you’re on the hunt for a new gaming laptop, give the editor’s review on the ASUS G551 a read, or our hands-on of HP’s first ever gaming notebook – the HP Omen. There’s also the fancy Samsung GALAXY Note Edge in our Tested section. Are you a fan of Star Wars lore? Then you might have read the non-fiction books that Jonathan W. Rinzler has been involved with, either as a writer or an editor. Find out more about his work with Lucasfilm in our CelebTalk pages. Do read through this March issue and if you have any feedback, you can find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/pcdotcom. Until next issue, bye! Errata PC.com would like to apologise for the following error in the February 2015 issue. On page 120, the price of the Oppo N3 should read as RM2,098 and not as printed.
