I played many sports growing up from basketball to long distance running, wrestling, and swimming. Inju- ries side lined my college career, which at the time was devastating, but that is what led me where I am today. I soon, after, transitioned into learning more about body building and making connections with the right people to receive the education that I needed to exceed in the industry. I consider myself a “Power Bodybuilder,” which is a combination of Powerlifting and Bodybuilding. This type of lifting is designed to build a strong physique while still maintaining a symmetrical atheistically pleasing appearance. I mean come on… what women doesn’t like a strong man that is also good to look at? Men trust me on this, the girls love it. As one might assume, I do consume a large amount of calories to support my workouts and maintain energy. My meals consist of mostly chicken, egg whites, beef, oatmeal, yams, black beans, fish, potatoes and a lot of healthy fats (nuts, nut butters, avocado, coconut oil, and olive oil). During the “building phase” I do allow myself to enjoy the occasional “cheat meal” to help with recovery and growth, which is usually a hamburger and fries, pasta or pizza. Once I being the preparation for the classic physique competition my caloric intake will steadily drop and the focus will shift to getting as lean as possible while still maintaining the strength component I worked so hard for. My goal is to place top 3 in both a Powerlift- ing and a Bodybuilding competition within the same year. One might not be surprise to learn that all of this ex- perience has led me to a career in personal training. I believe strongly that if I am to train and coach others to achieve their desired weight loss goals and or physique goals, I myself, must reflect and practice what I preach. I train and coach a full spec- trum of individuals (both men and women) based on their individual needs and desires. This includes weight loss, nutrition plans, building muscle, and increasing cardiovascular condition. I expanded my expertise into coaching fitness com- petitors, primarily bikini competitors. Changing the lives of people who feel “stuck in a rut,” and simply lack the education or motivation to make a change is what I live for. My passion for this profession is endless and I feel blessed to wake up every day with the life that I have created. 51
