STEMify, one of the most progressive groups for STEM students, has been devoted to bringing Science and Technology closer to the general public. It was established in 2019 by goal-oriented students of various communities across the nation. We, the STEMify constituents, are people of integrity and compassion. We build strong alliances, equipping us to become servant- leaders for the country.
The STEMify Festival, debuting this year, aims to challenge the understanding of specialized subjects in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Series of quiz competitions will place the delegates' proficiency of general science and/or basic engineering to the optimum test.
The competition is open to all junior and senior high school students of any year level and track, as well as first-year undergraduate students of any degree programs. There is no maximum limit for the number of participants per school.

1. The STEMify Festival comprises five competitions: Biology Twister, Geology Twister, Chemistry Twister, Mathematics Twister, and Physics Twister. Participants can join one or more categories depending on their subscription. 2. The competition will be done individually. Any form of cheating or any act of dishonesty concerning the competition will be subjected to immediate disqualification. 3. Participants should have one gadget (e.g., smartphone, tablet, desktop, or laptop), data or internet connection, working browsing app, scratch papers, and non-programmable scientific calculator to use throughout the competition. 4. The competition is composed of two stages: Eliminations and Finals. For the Final Round, a whiteboard and a marker will be required. At least 20 clean white sheets of paper (½ the size of short/A4) may be used as an alternative.
1. The Elimination Round is in the form of an individual exam taken through Testmoz. 2. The passcode and link for the exam will be disseminated through email. The participants will be able to take the exam within the twenty-four (24) hour window time. 3. There will be thirty (30) multiple-choice questions from each subject area accessible for 120 minutes (for Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics) and 60 minutes (for Geology and Biology). 4. Once faced with an internet fluctuation, the time will still run, but the participant can still return to the exam as long as there is still time left. 5. The top ten (10) participants with the highest scores will proceed to the final round. Any ties will be resolved by comparing the time elapsed for the exam.
1. The Final Round will be done via Zoom meeting. 2. It is divided into three rounds: Easy, Average, and Difficult. 3. Questions will be flashed on the screen one at a time. 4. The quizmaster will read the question twice. The timer will start right after the last word of the second reading. 5. Each participant is required to raise their final answer right after the quizmaster says, “boards up.” 6. There will be five (5) easy questions (30 seconds, 1 point each), five (5) average questions (60 seconds, 2 points each), and five (5) difficult questions (90 seconds, 3 points each). 7. There will be no deductions for incorrect and missing answers.
8. Whenever applicable, answers must be expressed based on the rules of significant figures (unless otherwise stated). 9. Whenever applicable, misspelled answers will be deemed incorrect. 10. Whenever applicable, answers with no (wrong) unit of measurement will also be deemed incorrect. 11. Any protest must be raised before the reading of the next question and will be resolved by the panel of judges. The decision made by the panel is final and irrevocable. 12. Participants will be declared as 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place based on their cumulative score. 13. Any ties will be resolved through clincher questions.
1. Questions in the Clincher Round will either be an identification (Biology, Geology) or problem-solving (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics) type. 2. As soon as the question is flashed, participants can answer. The first contestant to raise his/her board, provided the answer was correct, will win the clincher round.
❖ The Top Scorers in Elimination round for each Category (Biology, Geology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics) will receive E-Certificate as an Award signed by the Facilitators. ❖ Third highest score participant for each category in the Final Round will receive E-Certificate + 100 pesos. ❖ Second highest score participant for each category in the Final Round will receive E-Certificate + 150 pesos. ❖ First highest score participant for each category in the Final Round will receive E-Certificate + 200 pesos. ❖ In addition, all participants who joined shall receive an E-Certificate for participating in the said event.
