STUDIO PROJECT
One of the objectives of the project is to train Karen students skills and to distribute income to the community. Jittarin x Youngyao The inspiration for the design comes from the stubbornness of Karen youths through their lifestyle and identity, culture. For example, the color pair that uses dark tones and is the same color pair as the Karen satchel bag. The design concept was to design a street-fashion crossbody bag using the words of an urban teenager and a pair of contrasting colors to represent the stubbornness of the youth. It also combines Karen culture with Karen embroidery to promote income in the Karen community and disseminate culture as well.
YOUNGYAO Drawing inspiration from the ways of life of indigenous hill tribe Karen, albeit with a slight tweak to make it more appealing to modern users, \"Youngyao\" prides itself on its voguish has continued to this day and has become increasingly lifestyle items that are instantly recognizable by the tribe's embroidery patterns handcrafted known as contemporary handicrafts. So it had the opportunity by Karen villagers and students at Baan Tako Lang, Suan Phueng, Ratchaburi. New Alternative Material for Sustainability With more and more environmental problems, the furniture industry still focuses on producing from real wood. This is clearly the destruction of forest resources. Although it has begun to turn to substitute materials for extrusion into wood planks, mass production still uses binders as chemical adhesives which have a negative effect on the human body. If talking about a community scale, the luffa is an alternative material to use for instead of wood. Because there properties are quite unique as fibers are bondable, lightweight, durable and tough. The purpose of this project was to study the production of wood substitutes from luffa, molding process, nature binder and design for community. The material is therefore environmentally friendly throughout the product lifecycle. It can decompose itself also generate income for the community.
