He has been described as Andy Warhol on steroids and the new Damien Hirst. In addition to his own name, he also works under the alter ego’s /collections of Mofisto, S&B, Aw.then.tik.8.ed, Yves Kaiser and Bakku-shane. His creative output of paintings has been prodigous and astonishing in the last 2 years with over 8,000 original works completed and snapped up by collectors. History of Silk ScreeningScreenprinting, silkscreening, or serigraphy is aprintmaking technique that creates a sharp-edgedimage using a stencil. It is currently popular both in fine arts andin commercial printing, where it is commonly usedto print images on t-shirts, caps, CDs & DVDs,ceramics, glass, polyethylene, polypropylene,paper, metals, and wood. The Printer’s NationalEnvironmental Assistance Center says “Screen-printing is arguably the most versatile of all print-ing processes”. Since rudimentary screenprintingmaterials are so affordable and readily available, ithas been used frequently in underground settingsandsubcultures, and the non-professional look of suchDIY culture screenprints have become a signifi-cant cultural aesthetic seen on movie posters,record album covers, flyers, shirts, commercialfonts in advertising, and elsewhere. Artists didn’t see the value of screen printing until the 1930’s when some started experimenting. It was one of them in particular who ignited the next boom in screen printing’s history. You might have heard of him, his name was Andy Warhol. His famous Marilyn Monroe portrait was done using the technique. His famous Campbell’s Tomato Soup was set of 32 paintings. They were priced at a modest $100 each, only six sold. the first went to actor Dennis Hopper.
